Do you teach any skills that might come in handy warding off an apocalypse? It turns out this place isn't actually all that willing to help out with that if you're not from here.
Shooting, hand to hand fighting, negotiating with supernatural creatures. I have a pretty varied skillset, but I'm not sure how much good farming, animal husbandry, or anything like that would be. Driving? That might come in handy.
Not bad. I've been shooting since I was a kid, so I know a lot of the shortcuts and tricks and how to clean the guns and all that. I know a bit about computers, but my kid brother's better at them than I am.
Nice to meet you Kate. I can already do all three but a bit of extra instruction in baking and sewing could do me good. I mostly just know cookies and mending.
What's the most complicated thing you know how to bake? It's not cheating if you have to use a recipe. I promise.
[ Because baking is a science! ]
I already have a tutor for hand-to-hand. [ Thanks Winter! ] I'd like to learn how to shoot a gun. [ She knows it's not as easy as point and shoot. Thanks! ]
Are you looking at a secondary department? It would be easier to suggest things if we knew what you want to do.
It's not very helpful to say "you should learn this obscure runic system with only five living practitioners" if your plan is to hang back and teach people and provide medical coverage.
I'm always happy to have someone to practice training with. I am in Investigations and Security and most of my background is in such. I also have a strong background in combat sorcery (though understandably I'm not practicing that at the moment) and some reasonable proficiency in hand-to-hand and armed combat.
What kind of skills do you have previous experience with? Some of us come from quite different worlds and backgrounds, it seems.
Combat sorcery sounds really cool. I'd be glad to have someone to practice training with too. I've picked up someone willing to teach me more advanced hand to hand tactics, so another person to bounce those off of would come in handy.
My skillset is kind of all over the place. Driving, shooting, hand to hand combat, survival skills in the wild, hunting, farming, gardening, animal husbandry and taking care of animals, negotiating with supernaturals, leadership, mechanics. There's probably stuff I'm not thinking of, but that's the main gist.
I can teach you skills related to office management, including printer whispering, email etiquette, phone strategy and top 10 office supplies to use as weapons (#4 will shock you!).

( That last bit probably takes the fighting and the driving off the table. )
They teach a LOT of random stuff here, though. I'm pretty sure I saw a class on how to play the didgeridoo the other day.

it seems like you have a lot of suggestions.
don't you have skills that you might want to learn from your own volition though?
