Yeah. But if we're a wolf pack, you could say I'm the Alpha. It's my job.

On a scale of one to ten, how Chad is Alpha in this context?

[wolfssegen]

In theory, zero. An Alpha's job is to protect and take care of their pack, which means you have to know them, understand them, all their emotional and mental needs, what they're afraid of and what they're good at. It means really taking time out to get to know your people so you can help them do their best at everything. You serve your pack, and you gain their respect by making their lives better.

In practice, most alphas end up turning into stupid dictators, and that's why their packs fail at everything. Those guys don't deserve the capital A. I don't respect them at all.

Also, you're being like really specific about pack terminology. I'm not really sure if this is an offensive thing to ask or not but

It does look so stupid! Totally ruins the suspension of disbelief, because they look like pigs with mange on wolf legs. And believe me, I need a lot of suspension of disbelief already to watch werewolf movies.

Yeah! It's the snout, that's 60% of the problem. It's always terrible CGI that grows out of somebody's face, and then they do the weirdly long Slenderman limbs, which makes no sense. Where are they getting these proportion decisions from? It's like they've never seen a wolf before. They have normal legs, what the hell?

Man, it's really sad that Twilight got it more right than Van Helsing.

Anyway, sorry for your crappy portrayal in media. That's the worst.

The snout and the hairlessness, what's with that? Why not a luscious coat like a real wolf? The slenderman limbs are also super weird.

Twilight got werewolves right, but it got vampires super, super wrong.

That's fine. Humans have some pretty crappy portrayals in media too.

Was it just the sparkly diamond skin thing?

The diamond skin thing, the red and yellow eye thing, the whole "looking perfect to lure in prey" thing (some vampires are super ugly), most of the superpowers...

Yeah, I was never sold on that whole 'looking perfect' thing. I mean, I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all, but you could plant crops on Robert Pattinson's forehead and still have room left over to build a barn

Hah. He's not my type either. He's got that perfectly symmetrical thing going on, that never appealed all that much.

Holy shit, you're right. I could never put my finger on exactly what it was until now. That guy's as symmetrical as a crash test dummy. Like a weird cross between Jimmy Neutron and I, Robot.

Exactly, it's like uncanny valley. No thank you. Give me a guy with a little character in his face.

Or at least one who's face has a reasonable stopping point that isn't like 8 inches past a normal hairline.
