Anyone else think it's a bad idea to eat bread that's been baked on a gravestone? I don't care if it's a tradition or not. It's creepy.

I haven't been able to to investigate it properly, however. The line for Better Loaf Than Never is RIDICULES! It wraps around the building every time that I've been by. Which begs the question, should it be investigated? What do we know?

They're selling baked sourdough bread that they are claiming is baked on a gravestone. It's in the spirit of Halloween. It's probably just a decoration. But haven't we seen enough businesses that sell creepy things, claim it's all in harmless fun, and then turn around to be so not legit?

You're right. We should investigate the bakery. Who wants to come with me?

I'm still not going to eat the bread though.

Definitely don't eat the bread though-two of the rats I fed it to died.

It took several days, but they were under observation and hadn't shown signs of any issues previously. Plus, given the condition of the third rat, I doubt it was anything natural. Evidence points to them having died of fear.

How many days? How does a rat die of fear? Can rats have a heart attack?

They can. In fact, that's exactly what happened.

Less than you might think. The origin of the stones aren't always obvious at a glance. Of course, anywhere around here, the inevitable horde of murderous ghosts would make up the ambiance on their own.

That doesn't sound so unreasonable- it's a sturdy stone and it gains heat as surely as any other. So long as there isn't dirt on it, that doesn't sound so bad.

Cortana has just told me that the she fed the bread to rats and they later died. Do you still want to eat it? I wouldn't.

I'm going to go in there and have a look around. I'm going to try to get into where they actually bake the bread. There has to be something there.

Maybe. I mean sure, it could just be a trick to drum up more business. But it also might not be. I've been told that the bread is responsible for killing some lab rats.

I suppose they turn them horizontal.

Well sucks to be a lab rat then. Wasn't jealous of them before not jealous of them now. Science is SO messed up.

I wasn't here last Halloween, but if you don't think it's on the up and up, then I'm in if you still need someone to tag along. I wouldn't be surprised if there's something more going on.

Although I guess a guy could hope it's just a gimmick.

It's a small mercy that you were not. I can't even look at a Halloween decoration the same way I used to. [ And she used to really like Halloween! ]

I wish it was a gimmick but after talking to Cortana, I can safely say that it's not.

It's about like what's happening now with the lullabies and people following asleep. I haven't experienced a shared dream yet but it's bound to happen. It did last year. In one of them, the decorations came to life.
