[ network ] turkey testicles

Who: Takashi Shirogane
Username: Blam
Warnings: Talk of consuming animal parts ( turkey testicles )

[ so, about those turkey testicle festival fliers popping up… he should be embarrassed that this is his first contribution to the adi network, but, well, curiosity? ]

Has anyone else seen the ads for the event happening at the Bottoms Up bar this weekend? Better yet, is anyone going?
I didn’t realize turkey testicles were a thing across the country. Arizona had a big annual event when I lived there.

[ which doesn’t necessarily mean current arizona dabbles in the double-t festival. ugh. timelines. alternate realities. his brain is complaining. ]

People back home took it pretty seriously.
Anyway. All of this to say: is anyone braving a taste?
I promise they aren’t terrible.

[ ringing endorsement. ]

( ooc; keith will be posting a log for this… soon right here. )

In eating a turkey's testicles? No??

That sounds disgusting. Under no circumstances.

not a fan of the idea, but it makes sense people would eat it. better than letting anything go to waste.

hard pass though.

Since it seems the other responses have the 'no, thank you' part covered very well, allow me to move to the next stage:

WHY?

"not all that bad" does not inspire a lot of confidence personally.

[takashi "turkey testicle advocate" shirogane omg]

it is not like nuggets are a preference either.
you americans have strange food traditions. if i have to use a dipping sauce to ignore what it is, isn't that telling of it not being good?

It's a nice attempt, but I'm not so easily goaded.

[ "gobbled the gobbler's balls. that is... such a phrase, why did you breathe life into it, shiro..... ]

i'd believe that about fried rattler
turkey bits just sounds like you got hazed by folks at the garrison
they could have at least taken you out for turkey nuggets instead.
my dad used to take me when i was a kid.
