[ network ] turkey testicles
Who: Takashi Shirogane
Username: Blam
Warnings: Talk of consuming animal parts ( turkey testicles )
[ so, about those turkey testicle festival fliers popping up… he should be embarrassed that this is his first contribution to the adi network, but, well, curiosity? ]
Has anyone else seen the ads for the event happening at the Bottoms Up bar this weekend? Better yet, is anyone going?
I didn’t realize turkey testicles were a thing across the country. Arizona had a big annual event when I lived there.
[ which doesn’t necessarily mean current arizona dabbles in the double-t festival. ugh. timelines. alternate realities. his brain is complaining. ]
People back home took it pretty seriously.
Anyway. All of this to say: is anyone braving a taste?
I promise they aren’t terrible.
[ ringing endorsement. ]
( ooc; keith will be posting a log for this…soon right here. )

Not even one?
They’re not all that bad.
[ … he keeps saying this. texting this? apparently, he’s the turkey testicle advocate now. ]
A bit soft and gooey on the inside, but fried up, they’re similar to a chicken nugget. Dip it in hot sauce or ranch and you won’t be able to tell the difference.

[takashi "turkey testicle advocate" shirogane omg]
it is not like nuggets are a preference either.
you americans have strange food traditions. if i have to use a dipping sauce to ignore what it is, isn't that telling of it not being good?
no subject
Yes but I didn’t say they were good to begin with. I said they weren’t bad.
The sauce only ensures they're extra not bad.
[ see. not a conversation for logical arguments.
this is his hill to die on.
-- how did he find himself here? ]
What if I said it’s an acquired taste?
Like coffee.

[Just a drive-by comment, amused.]

-- come back. ]
It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.
[ just call him the finisher.
wait.
don’t. ]

are these a favorite food of yours?
no subject
not the turkey kind. ]
Would you be more apt to try one if I said yes?
[ or block his ip address? ]
no subject
[the answer is no... to both trying them and blocking him.]
and i also wouldn't judge you.
