[ so, about those turkey testicle festival fliers popping up… he should be embarrassed that this is his first contribution to the adi network, but, well, curiosity? ]

Has anyone else seen the ads for the event happening at the Bottoms Up bar this weekend? Better yet, is anyone going?
I didn’t realize turkey testicles were a thing across the country. Arizona had a big annual event when I lived there.

[ which doesn’t necessarily mean current arizona dabbles in the double-t festival. ugh. timelines. alternate realities. his brain is complaining. ]

People back home took it pretty seriously.
Anyway. All of this to say: is anyone braving a taste?
I promise they aren’t terrible.

Some types of animal testicles are seen as a delicacy.
I don’t know how it came about exactly but these turkey testicle festivals tend to follow the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s practically tradition in some parts of the country.

[ apparently. and here he thought the arizona boonies had dibs. ]

Guess after eating the other parts of the bird, someone had the bright idea to deep fry the extra bits and center a party around daring people to eat them.
Like I said, some people get really into it.

So it is a matter of not wasting leftovers?

A horrendous amount of these 'turkeys' are eaten earlier in the month so there is a sense of respect to them in not simply throwing away their parts?

That is far more sensible than I had expected! My answer to trying them might still be no though...

Turkeys are the friends of mankind, but you see... I am Altean.

I have neither befriended any Turkey personally nor eaten any, so I do not wish to intrude rudely on this relationship I have no part in.

'That good' might be a stretch.
They taste fine? The dipping sauces help tremendously.
