what do you like doing? because research sounds boring no matter how you swing it but its actually about finding old forgotten books about trains disappearing and trying to figure out if it involves ghosts. seems like a lot of the time there is ghosts so far.

i mean the other thing i personally enjoy is that people leave you the hell alone and dont have expectations. so theyre like 'hey what did you do today' and my answer gets to be 'why are there so many ghosts in the world, actually', and they just kind of nod and tell me to get back to it. so like, lack of oversight, for sure.

I gotta ask though, why ARE there so many ghosts in the world? do you know? would research allow me to discover the answer to this and so many other ridiculous questions, all of which I have lined up?

i mean fuckin maybe thats the annoying part. theres really no other way to get answers short of beating up a god but those are really hard to find around here so this is how i'm improvising. you can also do investigations i guess but then you might get murdered so i prefer a little of both.

so you double-team investigations and research?

oh yeah at least twice. but yeah that's what i do. on paper i'm just in research for the most part but i follow up on my own leads.

the really short version is i have a friend who accidentally started a cult and made a god. and then the real god they were pretending to be got really really pissed. it was wild but i did get a tropical island out of the deal.

as long as you won't die immediately when faced with an issue and know how to be quiet, for sure. i can always use someone watching my back.
