Summary: Here's the barbecue log! Eating, playing games, having a bonfire and sleep-over on the beach!

ɪ. ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ

Congratulations, you've made it to the Good Harbor Beach September barbecue! With the weather cooling, but still pleasant enough, it's a pleasure to have a hangout involving ADI's residents and those who live at Bonnie's. There are still so many people who don't know one another, and many to strengthen bonds with, so the hours your dearest Wanda and Ren spend cooking and flipping and seasoning are nothing but rewarding! Seeing people enjoying themselves is great and it's motivating for them to keep doing these encounters every now and then.

On the menu, we have:
- Burgers;
- Steaks with jacked potato sides;
- Ribs;
- Zucchini-and-Pecorino fritters;
- Several different salads, including ovcharska;
- Aubergine kebabs with charred onion salsa;
- Salmon yakitori;
- Takoyaki;
- Cupcakes
- Apples and honey;
- Cherry dumplings;
- Sarmale filled with rice;
- Bundevara (pumpkin pie);


For drinks, there's a selection of alcohol, as well as coffee, water, tea, and a variety of sodas. Take in the nice view, jump on the ocean, sink your toes in the sand and enjoy yourselves. There aren't any usable tables, but there are several blankets on the floor for your perusal.

ɪɪ. ᴛɪᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴘᴀʀᴛʏ

With bellies full, now it's when the real fun begins. There are a few decks of cards being passed around, as well as one of their single tables now organized to a beer-pong competition. Individually, games such as Never Have I Ever, as well as Truth or Dare can be seen, and those who wish to use their skills for entertaining are more than welcome to do so.

A little bonding here, a little drunken chatting there, this is your time to shine!

ɪɪɪ. ᴀ ʙᴏɴꜰɪʀᴇ

With those who have a curfew to worry about in mind, a bonfire is lit, and a few tents are set around the beach (may have to be shared). If anyone's got a nice story, now it's the time to share it, or perhaps if anyone can play an instrument, it's about time to break it out of its case. The night will be lively until the early hours of the morning, and of course, mindful of those who couldn't stay up this late.

The next morning, everyone will be properly thanked for their attendance and tupperwares will be distributed with leftovers for those who'd like to take some food home, the beach will be cleaned impeccably and everyone will go their own way, hopefully with smiles and a new sense of unity and connection from the amazing night they've just experienced.

I. kissing games

Gojou can't drink. He doesn't handle his booze well. That doesn't mean he's not drinking, mostly because he wants to see if it's different in a world where powers don't exactly function the same. This totally makes sense in his head, I promise.

He's only had a couple sips but he's already pretty tipsy. This is just the usual. He's walking around trying to convince someone to play Spin the Bottle with him. He has an empty bottle he kidnapped from the trash for the cause.

"Come on, it'll be fun! I promise I'm not a bad kisser."

II. ghost stories

"Who wants to hear a scary story?"

Gojou looks real eager to do this. Please indulge him. Honestly, he might start telling a few even if nobody is listening - so it's better to just sit here and hear what he has to say.

"I've got a bunch of scary ones! I run into freaky things all the time at home."

"Will you even remember the kissing in the morning? If not, is it even worth it?" She's teasing, but there's definitely something lower-energy about her than usual, her smile edged with a bit of pain.

[120vision]

"I'll remember! Especially if it's you. I'm sure it'd be stellar." He's teasing back, but he notices the fact she's lower energy - he just wants to work his way up to asking her. Slinging an arm around her shoulders, he smiles at her.

"Let's take a walk."

[henchgal]

Unfortunately, it's her shoulder that's hurting, a recent dislocation still very tender and slightly swollen (thanks, Jeff). So when his arm goes around it, she twinges away from him before offering an apologetic look.

"Gentle, I'm fragile."

[120vision]

"You pull something?" He gives her an apologetic look to match her own. "Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. Sometimes I forget."

It's not an excuse, and he knows it.

"Dislocated my shoulder a couple nights ago. It's still pretty tender--not your fault. Just my body being a piece of shit."

She shakes her head, and slips the hand of her uninjured arm into Gojou's. That's safer, if he's mindful not to tug too much.

He'll definitely be careful, now that he's thinking about it. He holds onto her hand gently, and starts trying to lead her away from the crowd.

"How did you do that? Does that have something to do with the sad puppy thing you got going on?"

[henchgal]

Meredith shakes her head. "I'm always lower energy on bad pain days. Between the painkillers and trying to pretend I'm okay? It's a lot of work."

She allows herself to be led off in whatever direction he's headed, though, comfortable with him. Though she hasn't answered the question of how she got hurt, has she?

[120vision]

"At least they're giving you painkillers. It would probably suck a lot worse without them, assuming they even work."

He's noticed that she hasn't answered the question. He's trying to figure out how to get it out of her without bullying too much.

[henchgal]

"Well. Life is pain, Gojou. Anyone who tells you different is probably trying to sell you something."

She chuckles and squeezes gently at his hand. It's a nerdy reference, but he might appreciate it. Even if not, it's pretty accurate in her experience.

[120vision]

"Got it, princess."

He squeezes her hand back. Once they've gotten far away enough from the others, he stops leading.

"Here, let's sit down."

There's a few handy stumps, right?

Stumps or rocks on the beach, or even a nice dune. Either way, Meredith plops herself down without pretending to have any dignity. Why should she? It's Gojou, he's seen her let down her mask and just be before. She's safe with him.

"You doing alright?"

[120vision]

"Well, I had a wild experience at the circus."

Wait, should he tell her about that? Considering he hadn't gotten it from doing the best of things. Anyway, he plops himself down as well.

Alright. Go on, then.

[She crosses her arms and sits patiently, waiting for the story.]

"You wanna hear the one about the vengeful ghost or the one about the curse in a children's hospital?"

He's got so many stories to choose from. Even more than that.

Vengeance is a spicy motive. Let's start with the former.

kissing games

Finally, Ren sits down! He's got water dripping from curly hair, and a smile on his face. He's exhausted but absolutely thrilled and excited that the barbecue was nothing short of a success. His lips meet the cold metal of a soda can, and he's about to take a good sip out of it when he hears the proposal.

The surprise drives the drink to go down his throat wrong, and he coughs several times as a result.

"Don't die!" Gojou helpfully pats Ren's back, trying to help him get over the coughing fit. "Are you that delighted by my idea?"

Yes, of course he'd assume that, with his overblown ego healthy streak of self confidence.

[forethinking]

"Not really."

Not that he doesn't swing that way, Ren truly swings any way. It's just unexpected, sudden, and for the sake of everyone involved, he cannot. He's got someone! Kind of.

[120vision]

"Too bad, so sad. You don't know what you're missing."

Gojou takes it in stride! He doesn't even pout about it.

Much.

[forethinking]

"Why don't you try a truth or dare circle?"

Like, more opportunities to smooch then. It's also a little less intimidating and surprising - you're already expecting dares if you're in it.

[120vision]

"You just want to find out more about me!" Gojou's accusation is said with delight, though. "Sure, I can play that. Wanna play with me?"

He plops himself down to sit in front of Ren.

[forethinking]

There's just a laugh, something nice after that near-death-coughing experience, before he beckons the man to sit by one of the towels.

"Then in that case, Never Have I Ever."

No kissing... Potential...

"How do you play that?"

...look. Gojou was homeschooled until the age of fourteen. And at his high school, they didn't really do silly things all that much. He hasn't played a whole variety of games.

[forethinking]

"You say something you've never done. If I've done it, I drink-- water."

Good boy rules. The dirt is hidden very well.
