Summary: Here's the barbecue log! Eating, playing games, having a bonfire and sleep-over on the beach!

ɪ. ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ

Congratulations, you've made it to the Good Harbor Beach September barbecue! With the weather cooling, but still pleasant enough, it's a pleasure to have a hangout involving ADI's residents and those who live at Bonnie's. There are still so many people who don't know one another, and many to strengthen bonds with, so the hours your dearest Wanda and Ren spend cooking and flipping and seasoning are nothing but rewarding! Seeing people enjoying themselves is great and it's motivating for them to keep doing these encounters every now and then.

On the menu, we have:
- Burgers;
- Steaks with jacked potato sides;
- Ribs;
- Zucchini-and-Pecorino fritters;
- Several different salads, including ovcharska;
- Aubergine kebabs with charred onion salsa;
- Salmon yakitori;
- Takoyaki;
- Cupcakes
- Apples and honey;
- Cherry dumplings;
- Sarmale filled with rice;
- Bundevara (pumpkin pie);


For drinks, there's a selection of alcohol, as well as coffee, water, tea, and a variety of sodas. Take in the nice view, jump on the ocean, sink your toes in the sand and enjoy yourselves. There aren't any usable tables, but there are several blankets on the floor for your perusal.

ɪɪ. ᴛɪᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴘᴀʀᴛʏ

With bellies full, now it's when the real fun begins. There are a few decks of cards being passed around, as well as one of their single tables now organized to a beer-pong competition. Individually, games such as Never Have I Ever, as well as Truth or Dare can be seen, and those who wish to use their skills for entertaining are more than welcome to do so.

A little bonding here, a little drunken chatting there, this is your time to shine!

ɪɪɪ. ᴀ ʙᴏɴꜰɪʀᴇ

With those who have a curfew to worry about in mind, a bonfire is lit, and a few tents are set around the beach (may have to be shared). If anyone's got a nice story, now it's the time to share it, or perhaps if anyone can play an instrument, it's about time to break it out of its case. The night will be lively until the early hours of the morning, and of course, mindful of those who couldn't stay up this late.

The next morning, everyone will be properly thanked for their attendance and tupperwares will be distributed with leftovers for those who'd like to take some food home, the beach will be cleaned impeccably and everyone will go their own way, hopefully with smiles and a new sense of unity and connection from the amazing night they've just experienced.

"You need better stuff to wipe your brain with. Wanna go to a movie after this?"

The movie theatre was open all hours, wasn't it? Sure it was.

"I don't know if I'm going to be awake for long enough to make a movie tonight. At some point, I'm going to crawl into one of those tents and crash. But I'm definitely up for catching a movie with you at some point--over the weekend, maybe."

Besides, going out late tonight would mean coming back to the beach to sleep anyway, because it'd definitely take them later than ADI's curfew.

"I'll hold you to it, then."

Gojou looks pretty excited about this. He likes sharing things he enjoys with the people he likes, and he's definitely fond of Meredith.

[henchgal]

"And in the meantime, we should probably get you something to eat, so you're not drinking on an empty stomach."

And she might find something to munch on as well. Yes? Yes. She lightly slips her good arm in his arm, and begins heading toward the buffet.

"I'm bad at remembering to eat."

Which may be his way of tipping her off that he hasn't eaten all day. He follows along and looks at the barbecue's food for the first time, appearing excited.

"You tried any of this yet?"

[henchgal]

"Do I need to start texting you to remind you?" She grabs a plate, looking over the table--though with her bad shoulder right now, juggling plate and cane seems like it's a lot. She tries to hold the cane against her body with her elbow.

"I haven't tried it yet, but it all smells good."

[120vision]

"Do you want me to help you out?" Gojou offers. He's not going to insist, he knows all about pride, but he figures it'd be nice to offer. As for the texting offers, well, he ignores it. He doesn't want to admit he wouldn't pay attention to such a thing and just do what he wants.

[henchgal]

"If you don't mind. I'm flying with one wing right now." See, Gojou's proven he doesn't see her as weak, so letting him help, it's okay. It's better than just about everyone else.

...though she still hasn't explained how she got hurt, has she?

He takes the plate from her and balances it along with his own, deftly picking up food while still holding onto both of them. He could of been a waiter in another life.

"I wouldn't offer if I minded."

[henchgal]

"My hero." She points out a couple of the things she wants on her plate--the cherry dumplings, the eggplant kebabs, before glancing around for a place to sit. "I could go claim that blanket, before anyone gets to it."

[120vision]

"Good idea." He grabs the things that she indicated, and offers her a smile. "I'll be over soon."

[henchgal]

She moves over to the blanket, all but flopping herself down comfortably on it, like a marionette with its strings cut suddenly. The sand is still a little warm from the sun on it all day, the blanket is soft. Life is good. Yeah, life is very good.

[120vision]

Gojou heads over once he's obtained all the food, holding her plate out for her. "You look comfy," he observes

[henchgal]

"Well, out here with people like you and Winter and Jaeger around, I can let down my guard and relax a little, because nothing fucked up is getting to me through everyone else here."

There's an implication buried in there that she hasn't really been relaxing much.

[120vision]

"Maybe we need to spend more time together, then. Just so you can relax more."

He doesn't sound like he'd object to the idea.

[henchgal]

"Yeah? What would be in it for you?" She raises an eyebrow, giving him a coy little look.

[120vision]

"Getting to spend time with you," he says. He flushes a little, diverting his eyes. "That's pretty great to me."

[henchgal]

That's an adorable response. She lets out a warm laugh, moving so she can sit right beside him, nice and close, while she eats her dinner.

"Good to know."

[120vision]

"Do you want to..." He trails off and flushes, staring at his food, which he is not actually eating. "Never mind, it's dumb."

[henchgal]

She doesn't respond aloud, but instead just waits. Gives him space, in case he decides he wants to finish the question. It's fine if he doesn't, but...

...but.

[120vision]

"..."

Really, sometimes he has no idea how to talk to girls. Boys are easier, they don't judge if you get it wrong. But when he looks up from his food and at her, he knows suddenly that he really wants to say it, that he can't handle it if he doesn't.

"...call the movie thing a date?"

[henchgal]

"Sure. I'd like that." She's not going to be dramatic or tease him about that; it's obvious he's having enough trouble getting the words out. "We could get dinner either before or after the movie. Doesn't have to be fancy or anything."

[120vision]

He's relieved she doesn't tease him about it - a lot of people would. But this is part of why she's just so great in his eyes.

"You don't like fancy?"

[henchgal]

She shakes her head.

"I like fancy, but I don't want to make you feel like fancy is necessary. Like, we're all in a situation where we're dealing with a limited budget, right? So I don't want you to place an expectation on yourself that's unreasonable."

[120vision]

"That's fair. I'm pretty bad at money sometimes, so you might have to remind me."

Although, he wasn't as bad as could be expected? He'd been generally staying within a budget when it came to daily purchases. It was random splurging that was the problem. But..

"I'm not used to money mattering."

Considering how filthy rich his family was.
