Now that my beloved and I have finally picked a date, I find that our wedding is fast approaching. I must confess, I was originally quite set on our ceremony being a delightful mix of both goblin and faerie ritual, but I've come to find some human practices absolutely fascinating!

Tell me, do you have any particular wedding traditions from your homeland that stand out as unique?

I'm not actually sure why. I've only been to one wedding and I was, like, eleven.

[Not having a reason for it honestly only makes it better. Rue laughs to themself, beaming across the phone at Malcolm.]

Humans are absolutely fascinating! What a strange tradition to uphold! Pray, do you think it would be too strange to include a chicken dance at my own reception? I rather like the idea of doing something so ridiculous together.

[He was worried for a moment there; he'd gotten out of his depth on a subject he's hardly qualified to speak on, but he likes Rue and wanted to talk to them some more.

Rue's smile makes him smile brightly.]

Have you and Neal began to plan out your own wedding?

Um. Maybe. I'm sure Neal has ideas for things. He's good at this stuff.

Well, if you find yourself needing any assistance, I have planned for a number of fey weddings in the past. I'd be delighted to help the both of you, anyway that I can.

I wouldn't ask anyone else to make our clothes, for one thing. Your work is exquisite.

You're most kind, Malcolm. I have been very fortunate to have met so many lovely people since arriving, but I find myself especially delighted to have met both Neal and yourself. Such true, real friends are very hard to find in the faerie realm, so I feel myself quite lucky as of late.

I like it better here than at home. I have more friends. I have a boyfriend. My job is a lot less fulfilling, but I don't care that much because I have a life outside of it. I don't really want to go back.

I understand what you mean. I - There are people I miss dearly, who I would give anything to see again, but I have been happier here with Knickolas that I ever was back in the Feywilds. I think, perhaps, if he was agreeable, I would prefer we remain here as well.

I do miss my family. Well. Most of them. But my mentor from home just came back here. His name is Gil Arroyo. If you meet him, he's good people. He helped me a lot after he arrested my dad.

[Look, Rue has been planning weddings for more millennia than they can count. So the very offer to have someone else help them, well, it's so out of left field that they don't even know where to begin in response. Rue has always been the one helping others, to take care of everyone else's needs before even considering their own, so to think that a man they only just so recently met would be so eager and willing to help them in return.

It's easily the kindest offer they've ever received. Though their expression only softens, there's no doubt a swell of deep emotion blossoming in their chest. They feel choked up almost immediately.]
