Summary: All of the girls have been invited. Now it's time for the Ladies enjoy a much needed night on the town. DRINKING GAME ALERT! Spot Winter, take a shot.

There's a new bar in Gloucester and the imported ladies mean to make the most of its first Ladies Night. Twenty-One and Cup promises half-off all pun-inspired drinks and shots are buy two, get one free. There are plenty of pun-inspired drinks such as Cinnamon Toast Punch, Tequila Mockingbird and Sauvignon Private Ryan. The puns don't stop there. Puns adore the various artwork surrounding the bar.

The rest of the bar's décor is casual. There are fairy lights that decorate the ceiling with a large disco ball in the center of the room that's meant to serve as the dance floor. Seating comes mostly in the form of tables but in the various corners there are booths to sit in. There are a smattering of couches here and there.

There's no need to worry about a designated driver. They all had to take the bus.

All signs point towards that it should be a fun evening for all though some may hate themselves in the morning.

"I guess... we started talking at the Thanksgiving party, originally. But we've talked several times since then." He looks at Kate. "He thinks the world of you."

"He does?" Kate smiles a little because it's always good to hear that friendship is requited. "Yes, well. I consider him a very dear friend. I'd do anything for him." Including protecting him, if need be, from Malcolm Bright. "He's been teaching me self-defense."

[abrightboy]

"That's good. You know he's undergone some sort of psychological conditioning, right? He's only just starting to break it," Malcolm tells her.

[bossyboiler]

"I know he's gone through something but what that is, I don't know. I know he doesn't like to be touched and some of the things that he's admitted scare me for him. I know I have to go very slow."

[abrightboy]

"Well, I'm telling you: he's had, like, industrial grade brain washing," Malcolm informs her. "So the most effective things you can do for him are little gestures that let him be... human."

[bossyboiler]

"I try, Malcolm. I don't want to hurt him or make him revert to how he was when I first met him."

[abrightboy]

“I’m not accusing you of failing at that; I’m encouraging you to continue it. I think I led with how highly he thinks of you…?” Malcolm points out.

[bossyboiler]

"I know you're not accusing me of that. I'm sorry that I didn't make it clear."

[abrightboy]

“Have you noticed him acting any differently with your other roommate than he does with you?” Malcolm asks too casually.

[bossyboiler]

He asks too casually and the subject of her roommate is new. It almost gives her whiplash. "You're going to have to be more specific."

[abrightboy]

"I do? How many roommates do you have?" he asks archly.

[bossyboiler]

"Yes, because the question is an obvious yes, he does but I sense that you're looking for more than that. Hence why you're going to have to be more specific."

[abrightboy]

"Maybe that's exactly what I'm looking for. Why is the 'yes' obvious?" Malcolm asks.

[bossyboiler]

"She's a different person, Malcolm. She's competent in what they're training me to do."

[abrightboy]

Malcolm laughs. "Maybe you do need me to be more specific. Though I suspect that you're being deliberately obtuse. I think he has a crush on her. Have you seen any evidence of that?"

[bossyboiler]

Kate makes a noise in the back of her throat before laughing outright at the idea of Winter having a crush.

[abrightboy]

Malcolm is not impressed by that reaction.

"What's funny?" he asks evenly.

[bossyboiler]

"Winter having a crush on Yelena."

[abrightboy]

Malcolm nods. "How is that funny?" he asks innocently.

[bossyboiler]

"Because they're roommates."

[abrightboy]

"So they spend a lot of time together," Malcolm suggests.

[bossyboiler]

"They're from the same world, Malcolm. They know each other. Don't you and Gil spend a lot of time together?"

[abrightboy]

"Okay. You don't want to talk about it. Message received," Malcolm says. He takes a sip of his drink. "I'm... going to go sit over there," he says, pointing to a corner out of the way of the Ladies. "Until Mere is ready to leave."

[bossyboiler]

Kate is not going to let Malcolm escape so easily. "Why do you think he has a crush on her? What's your evidence Mister Profiler, sir?"

[abrightboy]

“I talked to him,” Malcolm replies matter-of-factly. “About his feelings. He has trouble describing them, but he definitely has them.”
