Summary: All of the girls have been invited. Now it's time for the Ladies enjoy a much needed night on the town. DRINKING GAME ALERT! Spot Winter, take a shot.

There's a new bar in Gloucester and the imported ladies mean to make the most of its first Ladies Night. Twenty-One and Cup promises half-off all pun-inspired drinks and shots are buy two, get one free. There are plenty of pun-inspired drinks such as Cinnamon Toast Punch, Tequila Mockingbird and Sauvignon Private Ryan. The puns don't stop there. Puns adore the various artwork surrounding the bar.

The rest of the bar's décor is casual. There are fairy lights that decorate the ceiling with a large disco ball in the center of the room that's meant to serve as the dance floor. Seating comes mostly in the form of tables but in the various corners there are booths to sit in. There are a smattering of couches here and there.

There's no need to worry about a designated driver. They all had to take the bus.

All signs point towards that it should be a fun evening for all though some may hate themselves in the morning.

Malcolm is not impressed by that reaction.

"What's funny?" he asks evenly.

[bossyboiler]

"Winter having a crush on Yelena."

[abrightboy]

Malcolm nods. "How is that funny?" he asks innocently.

[bossyboiler]

"Because they're roommates."

[abrightboy]

"So they spend a lot of time together," Malcolm suggests.

[bossyboiler]

"They're from the same world, Malcolm. They know each other. Don't you and Gil spend a lot of time together?"

[abrightboy]

"Okay. You don't want to talk about it. Message received," Malcolm says. He takes a sip of his drink. "I'm... going to go sit over there," he says, pointing to a corner out of the way of the Ladies. "Until Mere is ready to leave."

Kate is not going to let Malcolm escape so easily. "Why do you think he has a crush on her? What's your evidence Mister Profiler, sir?"

[abrightboy]

“I talked to him,” Malcolm replies matter-of-factly. “About his feelings. He has trouble describing them, but he definitely has them.”

[bossyboiler]

"Why would he talk to you about his feelings?" She replies. She tries to keep her tone matter-of-fact but she's too surprised at that admission to come across that way. "He's a person. Of course he has feelings. That's not very good evidence."

[abrightboy]

“That’s an interesting argument to come from someone who laughed when I brought up the concept,” Malcolm points out. “He talked to me about them because we’re friends and I’m trying to help him process them as his conditioning breaks down.”

[bossyboiler]

"Because you said he has a crush on Yelena. A crush. Having feelings for someone doesn't mean that those feelings are romantic. For example, I'm having a lot of feelings about you right now."

[abrightboy]

“Well, I’m flattered,” he tells her sweetly, “but I’m seeing someone.” Don’t say he didn’t let her down easy. “We discussed the nature of his feelings.”

[bossyboiler]

In her mind, she's lunging at him to choke him to death. In reality, she simply blinks at him. "Yes. I know. You're seeing Neal. You were as subtle as a brick to the face about your feelings for him."

[abrightboy]

“And that got me everywhere,” he points out. “Anyway, I’ll just keep working with him. I thought you were someone with more emotional tools than him, that could help describe what he’s experiencing in your peer group, but… that may not be the case,” he admits. “Live and learn, I guess.”

[bossyboiler]

In her mind, she is still strangling him. She wants to do more than that. She'd like to smack him in the side of his head. In reality, she simply seethes. "Whatever you say, Malcolm. I think it's a bad idea to press this crush thing. It doesn't exist and if it upsets Winter, you won't just have me to deal with." The most Kate is going to do is yell at him but it's not Kate that he has to worry about.

[abrightboy]

"I'm not pushing anything. I'm asking him questions. He's answering them. We're working through his feelings."

He looks at her curiously.

"His conditioning is deteriorating. That's a good thing, but he's also not experienced with his own emotions. If his trauma starts surfacing, it could go badly. It's better if he has some understanding of himself before then."

[bossyboiler]

"Yes and..." It is good that Winter is talking to someone about his feelings. She can rationalize that. But at the moment, she's just so thoroughly irritated with Malcolm Bright that it's hard for her to find something positive to say. It takes her a moment. "And that's a good thing because you're supposed to trained in all of that." It takes her a real long moment.

"I just think that pushing the idea of a crush is a bad idea. Why can't his feelings be those of found-family, why did you jump immediately to crush?"

[abrightboy]

"Why do you think it was my idea?" he asks her. "I told you: I only listened to what he said. I'm not pushing things on him."

[bossyboiler]

"What did he say that makes you think he has a crush on Yelena? It stands to reason that because he's not very experienced in dealing with his own emotions he would look to you to name them."

[abrightboy]

"I'm not sure I feel comfortable sharing his confidences with someone so... belligerent," Malcolm tells her. "You're looking for excuses to attack. You'll twist whatever I say."

[bossyboiler]

"That is a fair statement to make. You shouldn't share his confidence and I shouldn't have asked." Does she hate saying that he's right in a round-about-way? Yes.

[abrightboy]

He nods, then gestures towards the bar with his drink.

"I'm going to sit with Mere," he tells her. "Enjoy the evening."

"I'm going to go and rejoin the girls. So... Ciao."
