Yes, someone else... do you think it was Ren, herself, though? It seems unlikely, I think. Perhaps I am reading too much into it, but she did not seem a person given to planning. I know that we only caught a glimpse of her at the height of her madness, but seeking out Tim, specifically, in his guise seems like it would take more effort. Figuring out that he was part of ADI, as well?

I recall before her, ADI did not even seem to know who Jim Griffin was. That is why they had us following up on the videos that were being taken around town, yes?

I posted about this on the network after all of that occured. I think she was sponsored by something greater than herself, and I think all signs point to PYRE. Which, frankly, I have to suspect Fenix Down's involvement considering his own grudge against the ADI and affiliations with the desolation, as well as his sponsorship of several avatars not aligned with his own entity of choice.

Of course, just about anyone involved with the entities would have reason to want to interfere with Tim's plan, incuding the ADI. Which is probably a good sign it might have actually had a major effect if it was left unchecked.

But you make a good point. Finding Tim at all would have to be excedingly difficult given there's no trace of him within this world otherwise. Of course... if whoever pointed her in his direction already knew who he was and simply wanted to give him an extremely compelling incentive to stop rather than killing him...

Not one of us. I mean, I'm sure someone probably did suspect. I believe Keith punched his lights out a few hours before the rest of us were clued in.

But if one of the higher ups here were leaking information to the enemy... that would be a different matter, wouldn't it.

I have not had cause to speak with any of those above beyond Ms. Pam. She helped me to get situated with things here and to transfer to your apartment, officially. Have you spoken to many above her? I cannot imagine she would be at fault. Not after she was one to suffer so greatly at Ren's hands.

The problem with that is that they're far more trusted than any of us. And not to mention, I don't think we can trust anyone from ADI completely.

That is fair, but they are like us, are they not? Someone from another world. I would think they would want to work with us more than they would ADI. Not to encourage discord, but we have more in common with Reyes than people native to this world do.

Perhaps we could talk to them and see if we could learn more?

Perhaps. I'm not sure a direct conversation would prove all that fruitful.

If we had a way to detect avatars... It's yet another example of why the ADI's approach to us using magic is astronomically stupid. I could have developed a spell a week after we got here, and it'd be impossible for any of them to sneak up on us.

But no......

Anyway, I'm not sure we can trust that they are one of us. They're more or less running this place with Nia out all the time, that's a lot of trust to place in someone from a completely different world.

It is a great deal of trust for someone so new. I believe she has said that trust was broken with the earliest arrivals, hence the restrictions placed on all of us. I wonder why Reyes should escape that suspicion. Especially when I have seen them courting Bonnie so closely. Is she not a dissident from ADI?

Nia is out more often than she's here at headquarters. How would she even know if Reyes were betraying her trust? Nia seemed to have a zero tolerance policy on power usage but in practice the rules are laughably lax.

None of it makes even the slightest bit of sense.

Perhaps some manipulation by another force? Reyes may have a hand, but this would seem to be something greater than them. Not something we might be able to solve here, my dear friend, but a thing to ponder upon. It has been more than half a year since we first arrived here. Longer still for those who came before. Something must be driving all this and I feel the danger is moving closer.
