[Manji has been trying not to feed. Not wishing to continue to survive in that way. Only he found himself sluggish and tired almost constantly. Then there's the other side effect when his immortality curse weakens. Old injuries that were once healed start to bleed again.]

Hey, any advice on getting blood out of clothes? [He wasn't going to be able to afford to buy new ones all the time.

Then there's suddenly a grunt of pain as Manji looks off screen as he mutters under his breath.] Crap. Not another one.

I got blood on my clothes. [He grunts as he takes care of something off screen.] I need to know how to get it out.

I know what it sounds like when you're injured, Manji. Do you need me to drag you to medical?

(Then again, it's not like medical is likely to do much his abilities don't already do for him. She sighs.)

If the blood is still fresh, try to flush out what you can with water -- it'll make it easier to get the rest of the stain out. After that you can apply something like peroxide or vinegar, or try a cleaning product made specifically for washing out bloodstains.

Wait, they actually have something specifically made for blood? Really? Could have used that back home.

They have products for a lot of purposes. Unfortunately, I don't know 21st ceentury brands very well -- pretty sure it'll be at least another three centuries before anything I'm familiar with even gets started -- so I can't tell you which ones are actually good.

Do you think I can get some from any store? Or is there a specific one?

You can probably find something at one of the general or department stores. If there isn't anything there, I guess you could try a specialty cleaning supply store, but I don't think you'll need to.

Normally they don't give a shit about me so I don't usually have to think about worrying them. [He means that to be a joke.]

Just because you're immortal doesn't mean you shouldn't take care of yourself, Manji.

Pretty sure that's the exact reason I don't need to take care of myself. The worms do that for me. [Except, you know, when they stop working. Like right now.]

Do you even know what the worms are?

Of course, I do. They're holy worms. They're suppose to patch me up.

How did you even get the holy worms?

Some old crone couldn't mind her own business. Instead of letting me die in peace when she found me bleeding out she decided to stuff me full of the worms instead. Now I can't finally die like I should until I kill a thousand truly evil men.

(She pauses at that, head tilting to the side as she frowns just slightly.)

Do you want to die, Manji?

(She couldn't necessarily blame him, considering her own circumstances. Surviving rampancy when she shouldn't have was the second worst thing to ever happen to her... but now that she was herself again, she wasn't exactly eager to die.)

Well, not right this second. But not dying it making my sword play sloppy. It's hard to get excited by battle when I know I'm going to win.

(Cortana snorts, then rolls her eyes.)

You know, I think most warriors would consider themselves fortunate if they didn't have to worry about dying in battle.

(She's relieved that ...okay no, he does have a deathwish, just not that kind.)

Yeah, I use to think that too. That is until I found it out that not being able to die? Takes the thrill out of a life or die battle. It's just a matter of time for you to win instead of anything to do with skill.

Dying isn't the only way to lose, Manji.

(It probably says something that she can think of a lot of creative solutions to an immortal opponent, and it probably doesn't say anything good.)

I suppose loosing all my limbs would be a pretty poor life to live, but where I come from we tend to focus not on a living death. We just kill our foes like proper people should.

If you have any goal other than coming out of the battle alive and relatively intact your opponent could deliberately ruin that. For instance they could destroy a prize you wanted, kill someone you were trying to rescue...

That is true. They have been going after the kid I've been body guarding a lot more lately. Although, that's also because she's an idiot who can't stop throwing herself in trouble. So, I suppose I can't really blame them that much.
