Okay.

Well. I work in Administration for ADI and in the staff development department. I like the bake and sew. I'm currently being taught self-defense. Specifically, what would you like to know?

[He perks up] More about self-defense. It's a hobby of mine. Well. More than that, I guess. What style?

[bossyboiler]

I don't think there's a style name to it being effective and efficient. My roommate is teaching me. Like how to fall without hurting myself, how to avoid getting punched, how to throw a proper punch without breaking my hand. That sort of thing.

If you ever want to practice, I'm happy to get punched if I don't block in time.

You're happy to get punched? Wow. I might just have to take you up on that offer.

It's all part of learning. My first instructor told us it's all our own responsibility not to get hit when we're training.

They sound harsh.

Ex-military type. Good guy, though. And it kept me alive.

Did you have to fight often?

Almost daily, yeah. But it wasn't as bad as that probably sounds.

What's it like where you're from?

So this is kind of an out of the frying pan and into the skillet kind of situation for you?

Two moons. Everyone has abilities. My life was kind of cushy for the most part.

Yeah it's a bit of a lateral move so far. We didn't have gods or--whatever you want to call them here.

Can I ask about your abilities?

I used to be able to create and manipulate forcefields. I also never used to get sick or was able to get drunk.

I can see some pros and cons to not getting drunk. What do you mean by forcefields?

[bossyboiler]

Forcefields. Oh. Um. Invisible walls that block things or keep something contained. I could make mine solid and turn them into a variety of shapes.

No. The cost is too high.

What would they make you do to get your powers back?

[He knows the jist of it all but, having no powers himself, he hadn't really grasped it.]

Scare people. It's not worth going down that road.

I agree. But I guess that's an easy thing for me to say; I haven't lost anything by being here.
