What's it like where you're from?

So this is kind of an out of the frying pan and into the skillet kind of situation for you?

Two moons. Everyone has abilities. My life was kind of cushy for the most part.

Yeah it's a bit of a lateral move so far. We didn't have gods or--whatever you want to call them here.

Can I ask about your abilities?

I used to be able to create and manipulate forcefields. I also never used to get sick or was able to get drunk.

I can see some pros and cons to not getting drunk. What do you mean by forcefields?

[bossyboiler]

Forcefields. Oh. Um. Invisible walls that block things or keep something contained. I could make mine solid and turn them into a variety of shapes.

No. The cost is too high.

What would they make you do to get your powers back?

[He knows the jist of it all but, having no powers himself, he hadn't really grasped it.]

Scare people. It's not worth going down that road.

I agree. But I guess that's an easy thing for me to say; I haven't lost anything by being here.

Yeah, well. I suppose I should count myself fortunate that it's not worse.

Do you ever actually feel fortunate here?

I am fortunate that I have a lot of friends that keep me on the straight and narrow.

[A soft laugh] I could've used a few more friends like that, I think.

There names are Yelena and Winter. They are the best roommates and friends that I could have asked for.

It's true, she is. Some people find her intimidating, can you believe that?
