Greetings, fellow children of the apocalypse and working stiffs.

[Eddie waggles his fingers at the screen. There's a dopey, easy grin on his face, but the bags under his eyes tell a different story.]

Say a guy misses curfew- by three minutes- and gets locked outta the apartments. What's the best place to hole up for a night? Hypothetically.

[He's starting to think this ADI housing deal was the wrong choice. It feels so weird, not being able to come and go as he pleases. Stifling.

That's almost it, until Eddie clicks his fingers and rocks back towards the camera-]

Oh, and purely in the interest of my long term sanity, if anybody here plays DnD, I'm taking party applications. So. Show me what you've got.

[Not that Jaeger is the particularly judging type, he just really feels his age at times. Kids should be allowed to be kids for a while.]

Dogtown definitely has a Stephen King vibe to it, though fencing it off was a recent development. They finally got the idea that maybe people shouldn't be wandering around when horribly messed-up things happen there on a regular basis.

It hasn't stopped some people, but the smart ones avoid it.

Usually ADI staff doesn't give you too much trouble for sleeping there, especially if you're discrete about it and it only happens once in a while. Security has increased in the past few months though, due to recent events, so having your ID on hand is always a must.

I take it you're a relatively new arrival?

Pretty much, yes. We did our best to monitor the activity for months before they finally closed it off...for a while, it was something of a tradition to send new agents into Dogtown to patrol and record, but they made the decision to fence it off completely a couple of months ago.

[Never mind there's still been disappearances: people are dumb, unfortunately.]

I don't think your questions are stupid, it's useful things to know here and settling in always takes a bit of time. I try to keep track of new faces as best I can, either here on the network or in the monthly orientations.

I'm Andrew Jaeger, by the way. Most people just call me Jaeger.

[Jaeger feels the same way, which is why he's often offered to act as a more experienced companion to those being sent into Dogtown. It hasn't always worked out well for them, but at least he's trying to offer some guidance and security.]

Thanks. It seems to suit me well enough.

[Jaeger. Hunter. Russell had laughed entirely too much when handing over the papers.

And on the same topic, Eddie's quip does get a quiet chuckle out of the big man, behind his screen.]

Sorry for the circumstances, but it's nice to meet you. Hopefully you're adjusting as well as you can...have you thought about a department yet?
