Like I said, we haven't met yet. I'm trying to introduce myself.

( that sounded weird to her but also quill wasn't exactly friendly )

We both work for ADI. We haven't met before. I thought it made sense.

[ Also, she needed to get her name for attendance purposes. ]

Are you just going around introducing yourself to everyone?

( quill manages to make that sound as if it was a strange thing when actually it was the most normal thing ever )

Most people want something. You can't just want someone's name.

[ Her tone is getting more cheerful. It's either a defense or offence mechanism, time will tell which it is. ]

I also needed your name for attendance. I wouldn't want you to get docked in pay.

They're seriously checking that? And they roped you in?

( look, she might slowly be starting to consider doing something officially instead of just unofficially but this sounded like a bullshit job )

They didn't rope me into anything. I volunteered. I work in staff development.

I get to meet you. That's what I get out of it. [ And an awful lot of grief from Malcolm Bright. ]

( she doesn't look convinced at all. but then quill never thinks that people want to meet her )

Staff development? What the hell is that supposed to be?

We teach people skills that they might want to learn. I teach cooking, baking. Is there anything that you might want to learn how to do?

[ She is going to power through this conversation no matter what! ]

Aren't there better skills people could be learning? I've seen the state of some of the weapons training.

( says the woman that can't cook )

Since we're meant to be here for an apocalypse. Wouldn't they be more useful?

That's one skill you can learn but there is some downtime. I'm about to start learning how to use a gun myself. It's better to know how to use one than not.

It's best to keep busy.

Yeah, I know that.

( not that quill has been keeping herself busy but she's found a couple of things to pass the time )

And when you need to learn how to fight downtime's pretty useless. Especially with some of what I've seen.

People that are more likely to kill one of us than anything out there.

( people not well trained, not confident, that had no place with a weapon )

Do you have weapons training? Maybe you could teach a class?

[vrituom]

Yeah, that's not my job.

( she's hiding behind that rather than admitting that despite being highly trained she wouldn't be able to teach them. at least, not and get physical with them and you couldn't teach skills without being able to properly use them )

They should know better than to send people out there.

( not that quill knew many things here or the people but it's all humany, so she's not really a fan )
