They don't exist. Nobody is all loving or forgiving or merciful. Most of the time it's always about them, and about being able to clap themselves on the back and bloat out their ego.

Someone caught me doing something bad for a more important purpose once, and to settle a grudge in the process. He held it over my head under the pretense that he was trying to help me see things differently, where I weep over strangers being inconvenienced and take a vow of pacifism and dine solely on bread and water.

He actually thought he was helping me too.
