[network/open] Set During the Deep Event Prompt

Who: Donna Noble
Username: supertemp
Warnings: None

Show of digital hands, who hates this?
I didn't sign up to be stuck in a flat with a psychopath, personally.
Dunno about the rest of you lot.

So, in the interest of not going insane...
Games.
Two truths and a lie.
Rules are like it sounds.
List two true things about yourself, then one lie.
Don't say what's true or not.
People have to guess that.

I'll go first.

1. I've been to a planet made entirely of emeralds.
2. My best friend has two hearts.
3. I've met Agatha Christie.

((ooc: Everyone please feel free to threadjack around, have your characters respond to each other, rather than Donna!))

I haven't carried since I was with the FBI either. A taser is a safer weapon to wield. [It doesn't take much training, either. A mental patient managed to shock him eight or nine times on her first go with it. Still. Better safe than sorry.] You should still train with it, though.
abrightboy: (hates to break it to you but)

It's not. I'm concerned. I'm concerned about friends that are trapped in other residences. There've been problems with the water all week.

But if we do get out of here okay and you want some help learning how to use the taser effectively, I'd be happy to help.
abrightboy: (consider this)

The problem with eating snow is that it uses more water than it gives you and you can actually get more dehydrated, if you just eat it like that. I would suggest melting it first and, to be super safe, boil it for at least one full minute before drinking it. That'll take care of any pathogens. Just in case.

If you don't melt it before you eat it, your body has to do work to melt it in order to use it and you use water in cellular metabolism, which occurs any time your body does work. You pass urine to excrete cellular waste, for example.

[In other words: completely serious.]

When you don't have any friends growing up, you read a lot.
abrightboy: (fond contemplates)

[personal profile] abrightboy 2022-04-04 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know what that is.
abrightboy: (secret smile)

I’m doing okay in that department lately. What else do you like to read for fun?
abrightboy: (engaged)

[personal profile] abrightboy 2022-04-11 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm interested in all kinds of things.
abrightboy: (considers that)

[personal profile] abrightboy 2022-04-16 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, no. But I’ve read everything by Agatha Christie?
abrightboy: (just one more thing)

[personal profile] abrightboy 2022-04-16 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
No. You just. Mentioned Christie earlier, is all, and I actually know who that is.
abrightboy: (regretful)

[personal profile] abrightboy 2022-04-17 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Groundbreaking. But if we're talking exclusively about trash, I did read a lot of John Grisham when I was in high school.
abrightboy: (wants to help)

I read all the Hardy Boys books when I was a kid. They were a bit below my reading level, but I liked the mysteries.
abrightboy: (concedes happily)

More often than average, but less than you’d think. Until my father got arrested. Then it was mostly after school ass kickings.
