[network/open] Set During the Deep Event Prompt
Who: Donna Noble
Username: supertemp
Warnings: None
Show of digital hands, who hates this?
I didn't sign up to be stuck in a flat with a psychopath, personally.
Dunno about the rest of you lot.
So, in the interest of not going insane...
Games.
Two truths and a lie.
Rules are like it sounds.
List two true things about yourself, then one lie.
Don't say what's true or not.
People have to guess that.
I'll go first.
1. I've been to a planet made entirely of emeralds.
2. My best friend has two hearts.
3. I've met Agatha Christie.
((ooc: Everyone please feel free to threadjack around, have your characters respond to each other, rather than Donna!))

People read it as Icarus thinking he was too clever or too good not to listen to his father's warnings
[For all he knows, a version of the tapestry could exist, just having been made without his help. But it would make an awkward revelation, considering how old the damn thing would be.]
Ah, it's alright, there's much better art of Icarus floating around. I'm fond of Gustave Moreau's take, and Peter Paul Ruben's isn't half bad.

i am afraid i will have to take your word on that. the beauty of most art escapes me these days.

Hm.]
Bad eyesight?

[But, ever the optimist-]
i will make note of your recommendations, perhaps there is some way to enjoy them still, even if only through description.
no subject
Well, that's a bit shit for you.
[He's bad at sympathy but also, he can't imagine a stranger wants pity from him.]
Plenty of galleries do have descriptions online, they're real big on accessibility these days.

i have noticed. a man sat with me for no small amount of time to help me learn this phone.
unfortunately, my learning curve is steep when technology of this nature does not exist back home, but i will look into these galleries as part of my exploration. thank you.

[He's not usually inclined to be helpful, but it seems a shame for someone to miss out on art.]
no subject
or i won't
[He's....funny.]

The signal is what lets these devices communicate with other devices. I've no idea of anyone's explained things like radio waves to you.
But good luck with your research, feel free to give me a buzz if you want to be pointed in the right direction.
no subject
if i need new or more direction, i will come to you. thank you.
[What a kind person!]

If you're at all into science, you'll likely enjoy the read (or listen, I suppose)
And don't mention it, we've gotta keep things interesting here somehow
