[network/open] Set During the Deep Event Prompt

Who: Donna Noble
Username: supertemp
Warnings: None

Show of digital hands, who hates this?
I didn't sign up to be stuck in a flat with a psychopath, personally.
Dunno about the rest of you lot.

So, in the interest of not going insane...
Games.
Two truths and a lie.
Rules are like it sounds.
List two true things about yourself, then one lie.
Don't say what's true or not.
People have to guess that.

I'll go first.

1. I've been to a planet made entirely of emeralds.
2. My best friend has two hearts.
3. I've met Agatha Christie.

((ooc: Everyone please feel free to threadjack around, have your characters respond to each other, rather than Donna!))

books are expensive and difficult to get a hold of in some parts of the world. maybe not here.

Just to clarify: is that your guess?

[personal profile] whisperedone 2022-02-28 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
oh. yes. sorry.
failedpromise: (Oh?)

Unfortunately for you, that one is true.

[He thinks a moment. Is he allowed to ask clarifying questions? Are there other rules to this game? Well, no reason not to try.]

Are you a dwarf?

(She pauses, blinking at the question.)

No, though I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

(She's thinking of the medical condition of dwarfism, not the fantasy people who live underground.)

["What it has to do with anything?" It has to do with everything, as far as Garner understands.]

oh, then you're lie is that you have never seen the stars. i thought perhaps if you were a dwarf that would one might be true seeing as most live within the earth. though, i admit, not all.
failedpromise: (Oh?)

I think we're talking about two different kinds of dwarf.

Regardless, you are correct.

are we? oh, i suppose there's hill and mountain. hill dwarves would be able to see the stars.

i don't know that you are missing much with coffee. it has it's uses but it makes my hands twitch, personally.

...Definitely different kinds of Dwarf. I was more thinking of someone afflicted with the medical condition.

(It sounds like this person is thinking of the dwarves found in fantasy novels.)

there’s a medical condition?

i’m very confused.

In my world, Dwarfism is a condition in which a human has an abnormally short stature.

Dwarf refers to someone with the condition, not a distinct race or species.

ah i see

that is not the case where i come from. i believe many dwarves would be offended if i tried to imply they were simply short humans.

an interesting similarity, thank you.
