[She shrugs one shoulder almost dismissively, as though the entirety of the experience hadn't been deeply disquieting.]
They could have been useful if they were less unpredictable. And also less evil.
[A brief pause before she admits:]
They were better than the elves.

Elves. Strange word folk got for them. They were right unsettling. Kept coming back after I thrown them out. But at least they didn't actually do anything. Did they?
[He hadn't done anything to her or the others living in her apartment at the time.]

They watched. And probably reported back to someone. I didn't hear about any tiny stabbings, but that doesn't mean they did not happen.

But it would be a waste of creepy little voyeur dolls if they weren't reporting to anyone.

They're just stories. I don't think things here are going to be that harmless.

[She kicks at a small chunk of ice, sending it skittering over the pavement.]
It's hard to hide a giant hole in the sky swarming with monsters when everyone has a cellphone. And that was before most of their records got leaked.

That sounds like a god sending thier wrath down. How- Did the place that happened get wiped out?
[She's having trouble envisioning alternatives, really. They're nearing the museum at this point.]
