[Martin's been pretty quiet since Jon's disappearence and the... everything with ADI's miniature implosion, but it is probably about time for him to say something to whoever's left. He finally forces himself to post this after about 16 rewrites and lots of sweating about it, and people may see small edits in the next 15 minutes or so as he adds and deletes words to hem and haw over presentation. Such is the anxiety life.]

Hello all! Martin Blackwood here, in case I haven't spoken to some of you yet.

I was thinking about the current situation and the way ADI has been changing, and I wonder if anyone might be interested in pooling our resources to get a flat or house "off-campus", as it were? Things seem to be able to happen to us a lot, and while I know some feel safer sticking close, I'm beginning to think it would be good for a lot of us to get a bit of distance and put work down when we finish the day.

So I suppose I'm asking if anyone's interested in a flatmate, or wants to contribute or something. I would go out by myself, but I've found it's better to stick with friends.

I so very wish that I could join you, Martin, but my situation makes it so difficult. To sacrifice my own self just to live outside of these walls? I simply could not.

However, if you need help decorating your new home, you only need to call.

Honestly, I thought about you when I was thinking of this, but I thought that would be the case. I don't imagine it would be comfortable forced into another body like that all the time anyway.

But you are always invited :) And if you can turn it off you certainly don't need to keep it on when it's just us.

Your kindness is, as always, a comfort in these most trying times. Thank you for understanding. Even if it is in appearance only, it is a burden I would not wish upon any enemy.

We'll find a way to work this out. I promise you won't be trapped here forever.

Please, do not think of it is as me being trapped. Though I long for the freedom to move as easily as anyone else, as silly as it sounds, this is the place I began to make a home with my husband. It is so inherently special to me.

It is where I feel most near him even now, so staying is a kindness.

Well, I'm glad. I'd rather you be happy, regardless of the circumstance. And we can all work to make it safer for you as much as we can. It's not silly for this place to have become a home, I mean, you got married here. That's a big thing!

It means so much to me that you understand.

But please, let me know once you get settled and we shall have quite the party in celebration.

I have been looking into the purchase of a larger building near Bonnie's with the same idea in mind. I think it will be something that needs significant repair, but it could house a good number of people in the end.

It is, I confess, a long-term project, rather than something I can offer with immediacy. Mr. Steve and I discussed finding this alternative housing when everything came to light about ADI. I mean to make it a reality as soon as I can.

Oh! I guess we were all thinking some of the same things. I didn't think I could afford a whole building anyway, but...

You don't think anyone took anything from Zyrian Steel that might have value? Not artifacts or anything, just, just normal things.

I saw in the papers that someone seems to have stolen funds from him that were meant for charity, but those ill-got gains are not ones I should like to use. Were they not allocated for a kinder purpose, perhaps, but that they might benefit the living, that is too far a bridge and too selfish an act.

I have some small robots I collected from the event that was being used as a cover for the ritual. I cannot say that they are valuable, though.

We would need to secure transport to Wolf Trap again. And identify his home. I have some skill with a lockpick.

I think if we made a production of it we'd be much too likely to be caught. It was just an idea if the circumstances were right, though it appears they weren't. Bummer though.

Maybe he had a will or something. If he didn't get to change it before the fallout, it's possible he left things to Nia. But that's not something I think we're getting, exactly.

Mr. Steel did have a will, but it is not of the public record. And the funds to fulfill much of it are what was taken. If Ms. Nia did have some bounty coming, it is unlikely she would receive it in the given circumstances.

[Awww look at her go. This is usually his purview of research, but frankly it just makes him a little tender for when he, Tim, and Sasha used to commiserate over weird Google results.]

Got it. Not that I want to take advantage of a dead man, but considering he tried to kill all of us, I'm not... overly sympathetic.

Maybe we could research other assets. See if we can get into some private files.

An infiltration scheme? I fear I should only be help in the realm of a physical heist. My skills with these devices is fair, I think for one of my time and place, but I cannot say I know how to make it work as people like Mr. Tony or Tim might have.

Its ok! You can leave that bit to me. Or if you want I can sort of show you how I investigate this sort of thing. I used to do it all the time back at home for my research job.

That would be wonderful! I shall be happy to learn more. I had not realized such a skill would be so useful for our investigations. Not just this, but other matters I have come across here.

At home, we only had our wits and following the clues that Recorders may have left behind in their tomes.

It's a lot like doing research in books, honestly. Just about knowing where to look. And a few tricks that are more internet-exclusive. I really should've shown you this a lot sooner, considering.

That is something I can do, yes! Got quite a bit of history there. And I've seen more creepy-crawlies than just about anyone at this point, so I'm not afraid of a few spiders and such.

mostly its just spiders and silverfish and i mostly leave the spiders alone since they can eat the silverfish

I still intend to be doing work for ADI, even if I'm not living in their structures. As long as that's okay. I have people here I want to help.

Just - be careful. For your sake, as well as everyone else's. I think we shouldn't give ADI information about us they don't need, but I also think they've got much bigger fish to fry.

Trust me, I know how to be careful. Or as careful as we can be while doing something important. Besides, I've been here a long time. If they wanted something on me, they've probably already got it, really.

[Steve is definitely not suspicious, and never has been. Once he trusts you, he trusts you.]

That's true - of all of us, really. I think as long as we know that and keep it in mind, we're good.

We don't want to abandon the people there we care about, either. Honestly, it'll be good to have someone on the inside - not to spy, but to call for help if something comes up.
