Warnings: Should be clear!
[Martin's been pretty quiet since Jon's disappearence and the... everything with ADI's miniature implosion, but it is probably about time for him to say something to whoever's left. He finally forces himself to post this after about 16 rewrites and lots of sweating about it, and people may see small edits in the next 15 minutes or so as he adds and deletes words to hem and haw over presentation. Such is the anxiety life.]
Hello all! Martin Blackwood here, in case I haven't spoken to some of you yet.
I was thinking about the current situation and the way ADI has been changing, and I wonder if anyone might be interested in pooling our resources to get a flat or house "off-campus", as it were? Things seem to be able to happen to us a lot, and while I know some feel safer sticking close, I'm beginning to think it would be good for a lot of us to get a bit of distance and put work down when we finish the day.
So I suppose I'm asking if anyone's interested in a flatmate, or wants to contribute or something. I would go out by myself, but I've found it's better to stick with friends.
So er, let me know! Thanks!

However, if you need help decorating your new home, you only need to call.

But you are always invited :) And if you can turn it off you certainly don't need to keep it on when it's just us.
no subject
And thank you, Martin. I shall visit as frequently as you allow, until you are sick of me.
no subject
We'll find a way to work this out. I promise you won't be trapped here forever.
no subject
It is where I feel most near him even now, so staying is a kindness.

But please, let me know once you get settled and we shall have quite the party in celebration.

And of course, let me know if there is anything I can do to help with the whole glamour thing. Not that I have magic or anything, but you know.
no subject
Thank you, Martin.
wrapped probs!

It is, I confess, a long-term project, rather than something I can offer with immediacy. Mr. Steve and I discussed finding this alternative housing when everything came to light about ADI. I mean to make it a reality as soon as I can.

You don't think anyone took anything from Zyrian Steel that might have value? Not artifacts or anything, just, just normal things.
no subject
I have some small robots I collected from the event that was being used as a cover for the ritual. I cannot say that they are valuable, though.
no subject
I figured since he seemed so fancy he might have something. But it sounds like perhaps not.

We would need to secure transport to Wolf Trap again. And identify his home. I have some skill with a lockpick.

[Bless Mercy for being so all-in on the idea, though. She is down to clown and he appreciates it so much.]
Maybe he had a will or something. If he didn't get to change it before the fallout, it's possible he left things to Nia. But that's not something I think we're getting, exactly.
no subject
[Anon happens to be 30 mintues later.]
Mr. Steel did have a will, but it is not of the public record. And the funds to fulfill much of it are what was taken. If Ms. Nia did have some bounty coming, it is unlikely she would receive it in the given circumstances.

Got it. Not that I want to take advantage of a dead man, but considering he tried to kill all of us, I'm not... overly sympathetic.
Maybe we could research other assets. See if we can get into some private files.

[you know??? the research job??? martin????]
no subject
At home, we only had our wits and following the clues that Recorders may have left behind in their tomes.
no subject
It's a lot like doing research in books, honestly. Just about knowing where to look. And a few tricks that are more internet-exclusive. I really should've shown you this a lot sooner, considering.
think we can wrap this one up on your tag and say Mercy came by to learn Google-fu!
sounds perfect!

me and belova and steve have a house were moving into tomorrow dont know if steve told you
theres a room you could have if you want
it still needs some fixing though
no subject
[He knew Steve was moving, which is a bit what prompted him to start this, but he also automatically didn't assume he would be invited. People think about him?? Oh this is tendy.]
I mean, that's so kind of you all. I thought it was just a you thing. Or, er, a you all thing. Or--
I'm sorry this is a lot of words. Uh. Yes, if that's okay?
no subject
but yeah of course its okay i offered after all
were moving tomorrow so if you want to use the same truck as us you should start packing up tonight
no subject
[Since he's keeping all of Jon's things for when he returns, after all.]
This is really kind of you. Thank you. I really don't want to impose.
no subject
we will come help carry your stuff tomorrow morning too then
the new place is not finished yet so it will be a little rough still but i did finish the roof and windows and the hole in the kitchen floor

[Look Winter kind of likes emojis. The little happy face is cute.]
it will be fine i made sure the bedrooms and bathrooms were all okay for someone to live in
no subject
That is something I can do, yes! Got quite a bit of history there. And I've seen more creepy-crawlies than just about anyone at this point, so I'm not afraid of a few spiders and such.
Though... still not a fan of worms.
no subject
mostly its just spiders and silverfish and i mostly leave the spiders alone since they can eat the silverfish
so you should be okay
no subject
I really, really appreciate this Winter. Thank you so much :)

What Winter said. You'd be welcome with us. And it's okay if you're not ready to leave yet. I'm... still doing a little work for ADI for a little longer, even if I move off-campus.
no subject
I still intend to be doing work for ADI, even if I'm not living in their structures. As long as that's okay. I have people here I want to help.
no subject
[He's not going to demand loyalty as a condition for stepping away from ADI.]
Just - be careful. For your sake, as well as everyone else's. I think we shouldn't give ADI information about us they don't need, but I also think they've got much bigger fish to fry.
no subject
[The last thing he'd want to do is fight Steve, mostly because they're friends but also because Steve could probably kill him with one hand, no legs, and blindfolded.]
Trust me, I know how to be careful. Or as careful as we can be while doing something important. Besides, I've been here a long time. If they wanted something on me, they've probably already got it, really.
[They don't. They most certainly don't. But Steve certainly doesn't need reason to be suspicious of him, now or ever.]
no subject
That's true - of all of us, really. I think as long as we know that and keep it in mind, we're good.
We don't want to abandon the people there we care about, either. Honestly, it'll be good to have someone on the inside - not to spy, but to call for help if something comes up.
no subject
Well I'll be sure to do that. And get my things together for tomorrow. Let me know when the truck arrives in the morning?
no subject
I'm glad you're coming with us.
[Both that Martin is getting out, sure, but also that he's somewhere with people who can keep an eye on him and support him.]
probs wrapped!
[And now he's off to pack like, really really fast.]
