Congratulations, you've made it to the Good Harbor Beach September barbecue! With the weather cooling, but still pleasant enough, it's a pleasure to have a hangout involving ADI's residents and those who live at Bonnie's. There are still so many people who don't know one another, and many to strengthen bonds with, so the hours your dearest Wanda and Ren spend cooking and flipping and seasoning are nothing but rewarding! Seeing people enjoying themselves is great and it's motivating for them to keep doing these encounters every now and then.
On the menu, we have:
- Burgers;
- Steaks with jacked potato sides;
- Ribs;
- Zucchini-and-Pecorino fritters;
- Several different salads, including ovcharska;
- Aubergine kebabs with charred onion salsa;
- Salmon yakitori;
- Takoyaki;
- Cupcakes
- Apples and honey;
- Cherry dumplings;
- Sarmale filled with rice;
- Bundevara (pumpkin pie);
For drinks, there's a selection of alcohol, as well as coffee, water, tea, and a variety of sodas. Take in the nice view, jump on the ocean, sink your toes in the sand and enjoy yourselves. There aren't any usable tables, but there are several blankets on the floor for your perusal.

With bellies full, now it's when the real fun begins. There are a few decks of cards being passed around, as well as one of their single tables now organized to a beer-pong competition. Individually, games such as Never Have I Ever, as well as Truth or Dare can be seen, and those who wish to use their skills for entertaining are more than welcome to do so.
A little bonding here, a little drunken chatting there, this is your time to shine!

With those who have a curfew to worry about in mind, a bonfire is lit, and a few tents are set around the beach (may have to be shared). If anyone's got a nice story, now it's the time to share it, or perhaps if anyone can play an instrument, it's about time to break it out of its case. The night will be lively until the early hours of the morning, and of course, mindful of those who couldn't stay up this late.
The next morning, everyone will be properly thanked for their attendance and tupperwares will be distributed with leftovers for those who'd like to take some food home, the beach will be cleaned impeccably and everyone will go their own way, hopefully with smiles and a new sense of unity and connection from the amazing night they've just experienced.

Well, truth, I suppose. I have nothing to hide, [he lies, smile not faltering for a moment.]

no subject
[Vital! Information! There's just the slightest bit of emphasis on that "you"--since she asked Ren the same thing.]
no subject
[At least he's already in the pleasant boy mask, so even if the surprise is genuine, it doesn't slip into the uglier-looking expression it's wont to do when he's not paying attention. His eyes go wide in the way one of his publicists had once called "cute," then he laughs again, covering his mouth with a hand.]
You certainly have a way of asking questions that are rather personal, Monika, [he observes, intentionally only looking at her and not even once glancing at Ren.] But no, I can't say that I have a crush on anyone.
[Whatever feelings he has for Ren are certainly more complicated than a childish "crush," and he doesn't even think it's a lie to say as such.]
Are these normally the kinds of questions people ask?
no subject
I just know they're supposed to be very personal.
(And he gestures to Monika.)
You ask her now.
no subject
[Monika thinks picking truth when Akechi is asking is probably more dangerous than picking it when Ren is asking, but as long as it's just silly stuff like this, it's fine. But, y'know, while Akechi is trying to think something up...]
What kind of people are you into, Akechi? Like for a relationship. Ren said he'd help me find someone good, he can help you too!
[;)]
no subject
[He rather expected Monika to pick truth, but having just walked into the game, he doesn't have anything prepared. He brings a hand to his lips in contemplation, only to freeze when she asks a follow-up question.]
Ahaha, I wasn't prepared for an interview. It's been a long time since I've been on TV, [he points out with another smile, retreating further into the safety of the Prince facade. In this, at least, it's familiar. He's given enough answers to this kind of thing in the past. Except, perhaps, not with Ren sitting nearby.] Though I suppose if I had to have a "type"... it would be someone who challenges me in unexpected ways. I can't say I'm looking for anyone right now, though. Are you?
Ah, but as for your question... if it's meant to be personal, I suppose... [Well, it has to be a question he'd be able to answer if it were directed back at him.] If you could do one thing, what would it be? Assuming there would be no negative repercussions for you, of course. Would it be breaking the rules to pose the same question to Ren?
[He looks over to Ren for the first time since Monika had posed her question, innocent smile still on his face.]
no subject
Ren laughs only because of the question Akechi makes, they are actively trying to find Monika a man, thank you so much.)
We're looking for someone who's with her no matter what, right?
(But he's taken aback for a second. What exactly did he want to do? Here? In general? He blurts out the first thing that pops into his mind, the one he'd want the most aside from the man before them alive and well.)
I'd like to stay with Sojiro.
no subject
Does knowing something count as doing something? If there was something I could do to know for sure what I did mattered... Yeah, that'd be it. [But that's so serious for a truth or dare answer, so she focuses on Ren instead.] Who's Sojiro?
no subject
And while perhaps too serious for a bonfire, but Akechi accepts it as a valid answer with a nod. He rests his chin in his hand, the corner of his lip curving up in an almost imperceptible smile of approval. The idea that things they do matter is a nice one. What are they if not creatures desperately scrabbling for meaning?]
How poetic.
[And Ren wants to return to Leblanc, does he? Akechi turns his gaze on him with a quirked eyebrow.]
Don't tell me you truly wish to return to living in the attic.
no subject
He's my guardian.
(The attic never bothered him. Sure, he sleeps on milkcrates, there is a good amount of spiders, the walls are falling apart, and? It always smells like coffee, curry and cigarette smoke, he decorated it into a home, and the memories he has in such a small space cannot be easily replaced. Offer him a penthouse or to live in the attic again, and he'll choose the attic without a single ounce of hesitation.
So, his smile shows on his eyes that close.)
It's not about the attic.
