Have you been able to identify any particular absences, thus far?

Yes. A few. Peter Parker. The turtles. Andrew Jaeger.

I cannot claim to be familiar with any of those. Though the fact that there are those who have left is... worrying. Not least of all if it were not by choice.

It is worrying mostly because, the way I feel, is that we are powerless to stop it.

Regrettably, yes. Not least of all for the fact that we are not aware of the reasons behind such disappearances.

We aren't and if ADI knows, they are keeping it to themselves.

They may well not, given their insistence they have little idea as to how we arrive here in the first place.

I see no reason we could not? It would, of course, require no small amount of care should one which to not be caught at such. But I see no reason it should be inherently impossible.
