candy crush (February 1-15, TDM Prompt)
( NOTE: Feelings will be romantic for characters within a couple years of Donnie's 16. For characters older, it will be more like desperation for mentorship/parental figures/familial attachment. Obsessive/possessive optional! )

[One of the fresher boxes of candy has gone missing from one of the break rooms one day, though Donatello isn't exactly hiding that he's just taking the damn thing with him up to the roof of the building for his lunch break. Lately he's been feeling...very lonely. Perhaps it's related to the fact that he still doesn't remember his brother, or maybe it's all in his head.

Regardless, Donnie sits on the edge of the ADI rooftop, legs dangling over the front of the building as he munches on chocolates. He doesn't have a huge sweet tooth usually so maybe he stops at one, or maybe he loses track of what he's doing and has shoved six of them down his throat at once. Who can resist a salted caramel, right?]

dumpster diving (Anytime)

[True, Donnie is engaging in some light criminal activity via identity theft and purchase of components he could otherwise never afford on his own, but there's a curious lack of websites Donnie can visit here to get the really good shit. So that, unfortunately, means that he has to go in search of raw materials so he can build the really good shit himself. He'll need to find a way to smelt metals but he'll work on that later, maybe go in search of a hideout-y place he can use as a foundry where ADI won't snoop.

What this means is that Donnie is absolutely and blatantly dumpster diving downtown, tossing possible raw materials into a shopping cart he also stole, a purple hoodie the only disguise he bothered to put on. He's not really trying to be very stealthy about it, if the loud clangs and bangs coming from nearby alleys are any indication.]

ding dong delivery (Anytime)

[Donnie has lots of packages being delivered to his unit in apartment D; perhaps a delivery man confused his address for yours? Or perhaps the address is yours, but the package is addressed to a...D.L. Jitsu? Or J. Jupiter, or perhaps a more recognizable name such as M. Curie, M. Faraday, E. Hubble or A. Turing.

Regardless of the name, there is somewhere nearby a teenage turtle in a purple hoodie stalking that package, and he has no qualms stealing them from doorsteps or even right out of hands seconds after delivery.

In fact it seems to be happening all over, throughout the apartment blocks, even some closed down businesses in town. What a shady individual!]

wildcard (Anytime)

[Donnie can be found in the following places at the following times:

• Roof Jumping usually at nights, usually with the aid of his bow. Parkour shit, just to make sure he doesn't fall out of practice since he doesn't have his jetpack to assist anymore.
  
• ADI IT Rooms during work days, usually completing the mundane tasks of organizing inventory and replacing hardware for people who don't know the difference between a mainframe and an a-frame.
  
• Apartment D-3 on weekends and some evenings, working on his tech and testing some curious substances- are those candy bees inside a beaker over there? Close CR can probably just walk right in, though if Rodney is around they'll get an earful for violating the roommate agreement he and Donnie both signed.

[Donnie doesn't hold on long, though it's probably telling that he voluntarily touched someone else at all. Though maybe it's not? What's so weird about grabbing onto someone's sleeve, especially someone like Peter? It's not weird at all.

There's a lot furious circular reasoning going on behind that big forehead, all with a faint taste of this is different to it. Unless he is the one who introduces the New Thing, Donnie tends to dislike New Things, but maybe he is the one introducing it since- see, like that.]

-actually, I have something for you too. You'd said you were low on the dissolvent needed for that adhesive you make, yes? I think I've made a suitable substitute.

[It takes Peter a second to really compute the fact Donnie actually reached for him to make contact. As far as Peter knows, the turtle isn't really fond of touching other people that much or really being touched.

He almost wonders why the contact, then Donnie speaks. The turtle's next words throwing his thoughts aside completely. It isn't a shock Donnie was able to reverse engineer the dissolvent given how smart he is in general, but Peter still brightens up.] Seriously-? Thank you- that's really cool honestly!

I kind of figured you'd figure it out like really fast.

[Just BEAMS, a kind of genuine pleasure sans the usual ego and bluster. He knows he did something impressive, but rather than relishing in how impressive he is, he's more glad that someone else appreciates the gesture.

Especially since it's Peter! Peter's always doing things for other people with hardly any expectations of even so much as a 'thanks.' Peter deserves good things, doesn't he? It's a little strange that Donnie's the one willing to provide those good things, but that must just be because at last, someone to appreciate it. Donnie's been a genius for so long that his family hardly ever praises him anymore.]

Sure, it's a snap to put it together now that the formula's been worked out. Did you need any help with making the adhesive, too? I've found a couple wholesale chemical suppliers, I could give you the hook up.

[The offer of a hook up and Donnie want to help makes Peter brighten a little more. Though a small part of Peter has to wonder what put Donnie in this good of a mood.] I'd appreciate the hook up, honestly. I've been kind of winging it supply wise, and its been... interesting. [He isn't banned from any stores yet.]

If you wanna help, that'd be cool! I know you're pretty busy. [Peter is decently aware Donnie spends his time doing more than a few things around ADI HQ. He isn't clear on specifics, but the turtle is regularly busy.] I don't really have a lab, I've been working in the bathroom in the dorm when my roommate is out.

It'd be nice to work on it with some too you know? I kinda always do the more science-y stuff by myself.

The bathroom? That's tragic. I've been using all the things Dr. McKay has acquired, as well as some of my own equipment that's started coming in. [from his thefts], so we're more than adequately outfitted.

I hear you about the isolation, however. [Heaves a great, arrogant sigh] It's true, it would be nice to have a capable lab assistant in one of my brothers, but not only are they not suited, they are not interested. Michael sometimes tries, bless his heart.
