candy crush (February 1-15, TDM Prompt)
( NOTE: Feelings will be romantic for characters within a couple years of Donnie's 16. For characters older, it will be more like desperation for mentorship/parental figures/familial attachment. Obsessive/possessive optional! )

[One of the fresher boxes of candy has gone missing from one of the break rooms one day, though Donatello isn't exactly hiding that he's just taking the damn thing with him up to the roof of the building for his lunch break. Lately he's been feeling...very lonely. Perhaps it's related to the fact that he still doesn't remember his brother, or maybe it's all in his head.

Regardless, Donnie sits on the edge of the ADI rooftop, legs dangling over the front of the building as he munches on chocolates. He doesn't have a huge sweet tooth usually so maybe he stops at one, or maybe he loses track of what he's doing and has shoved six of them down his throat at once. Who can resist a salted caramel, right?]

dumpster diving (Anytime)

[True, Donnie is engaging in some light criminal activity via identity theft and purchase of components he could otherwise never afford on his own, but there's a curious lack of websites Donnie can visit here to get the really good shit. So that, unfortunately, means that he has to go in search of raw materials so he can build the really good shit himself. He'll need to find a way to smelt metals but he'll work on that later, maybe go in search of a hideout-y place he can use as a foundry where ADI won't snoop.

What this means is that Donnie is absolutely and blatantly dumpster diving downtown, tossing possible raw materials into a shopping cart he also stole, a purple hoodie the only disguise he bothered to put on. He's not really trying to be very stealthy about it, if the loud clangs and bangs coming from nearby alleys are any indication.]

ding dong delivery (Anytime)

[Donnie has lots of packages being delivered to his unit in apartment D; perhaps a delivery man confused his address for yours? Or perhaps the address is yours, but the package is addressed to a...D.L. Jitsu? Or J. Jupiter, or perhaps a more recognizable name such as M. Curie, M. Faraday, E. Hubble or A. Turing.

Regardless of the name, there is somewhere nearby a teenage turtle in a purple hoodie stalking that package, and he has no qualms stealing them from doorsteps or even right out of hands seconds after delivery.

In fact it seems to be happening all over, throughout the apartment blocks, even some closed down businesses in town. What a shady individual!]

wildcard (Anytime)

[Donnie can be found in the following places at the following times:

• Roof Jumping usually at nights, usually with the aid of his bow. Parkour shit, just to make sure he doesn't fall out of practice since he doesn't have his jetpack to assist anymore.
  
• ADI IT Rooms during work days, usually completing the mundane tasks of organizing inventory and replacing hardware for people who don't know the difference between a mainframe and an a-frame.
  
• Apartment D-3 on weekends and some evenings, working on his tech and testing some curious substances- are those candy bees inside a beaker over there? Close CR can probably just walk right in, though if Rodney is around they'll get an earful for violating the roommate agreement he and Donnie both signed.

Wildcard - roof jumping

[Donnie lands on one roof-top only to find it's already occupied. Winter pushes to his feet from the shadow of an HVAC unit that had been hiding him from immediate view, gun in hand and aimed at Donnie's face-- but he drops it after a second. It's just the turtle kid.

He demands, disgruntled,]

The fuck are you doing up here.

[Donnie's reflexes are pretty good but Winter's are better. By the time Donnie recognizes the gun a foot from his face and has skidded to a chaotic half-stop that ends up with him tumbling into the rooftop access hutch, it's already back down.]

What am I- [Gets up! INDIGNANT! Big loud personality indignant!] I'm exercising! What are you doing- are you some new ADI detail?! Leave me alone already!

[He holsters the gun.]

Not here to watch you. I didn't expect you at all.

[He looks Donnie up and down.]

We have gyms, you know. For exercising.

[Disgusted. Maybe also offended] Who on earth would use those facilities when there are perfectly serviceable rooftops within leaping distance.

Because they're created specifically for exercise. Leaping around on rooftops is not.

[Winter eyes Donnie.]

There are also other people in the gym, sometimes. If you want to spar or just not be alone.

[Because who would want to be alone? On purpose? For fun? Does not computer. Winter, for all his awkwardness and stoic demeanor, is very much a people person.]

[supremely grossed out by that possibility] I assure you that leaping around on rooftops alone is just as good for cardio. [Which he is not happy to have to get to begin with!!! Read the room!]</small.

[Winter's brows go up a little.]

Not really. Also bad for weight training. It isn't consistent enough. It's good for parkour training and finding unexpected openings but not actual exercise.

You don't spar?

Not with people I met ten minutes ago, no. [And no he does not have a gym rat buddy! Gross. Gonna take a moment to stretch though since that next building seems kinda far. Might have to use bo like a vaulting pole.]

I wasn't offering.

[But what if he was...? Just kidding. Unless?

He shakes his head a little.]

You just can't do that up here. By yourself. That's all. And that's better for your ability to stay alive than jumping around rooftops.

[Who do u think you are to tell him where and where not he can do dangerous parkour, old guy]

Ah okay, I can't. Are you going to call the cops on me?

[Winter gives him an aggrieved look.]

You can be up here. But you can't spar up here. And sparring, practicing self-defense, working with others. That's better at keeping you alive than jumping around buildings.

[He snorts.]

And I'm not calling anyone, Christ.

Good! Glad we've come to an understanding. [Definitely they have not, but Donnie is firmly entrenched in his 'shitty teenager' attitude at the first sign of any well-meaning grown up advice because that's one of his character flaws. Whether or not this metal-armed (admittedly very cool) homeless-looking man has good advice is irrelevant. Donnie doesn't want to spar. Donnie wants to do parkour.

So he backs up a few more meters, then takes off at a run for the edge of the building. He does indeed use his bo as a pole vault, which is normally fine because it extends as needed and also he usually has a jetpack or any of three brothers to compensate for him if he slips or miscalculates.]

[But he doesn't have his jetpack, his bo only has a fraction of its usual functions here, his mutant physiology is deeply muted, and there is nary a brother to be seen.

The roof is slippery, more than expected, and the end of his bo skids before catching and that's enough to knock Donnie off balance. He drops over the edge very shy of the next building, and only the resounding CLANG and subsequent clanks of him rattling down the fire escape explains what just happened.]

...ow.

[Winter's eyes go wide when he realizes there's no way the turtle kid is going to make it, and charges after him, except he's lacking in his own supernatural speed so he doesn't make it in time, either. Instead, he swings down onto the fire escape and starts down, taking them two steps at a time.

He drops to a crouch beside here Donnie fell and growls,]

You can't take falls like that here! You will damage yourself. What hurts the most?

[He's going to check himself if Donnie doesn't tell him. Winter knows some first aid, in large part because he refuses doctors whenever possible.]

Ugh, [Donnie groans, rolling over and immediately trying to scooch further away from Winter. He's holding his wrist oddly but definitely does not seem inclined to let anyone take a look, hugging it to his chest. At least his fingers work just fine, probably just a sprain at most.] My pride. Don't worry about it.
