If anyone of the forcibly kidnapped to Gloucester deserved to be remembered, it was George Milton. In many ways, he was the best of them. He had been kind. He had always been willing to help and lend a hand. Unlike some whose first choice was violence (because what else was there), he had chosen to forgo that route and had come up with a much more clever solution. The solution saved lives.

It had not felt right to have a formal service for him. To put it simply, he was not a formal person. And so after much calling around, a bar had been found where they could rent out the entire place before business got too busy. It was just for a couple of hours. People could come and say nice things about George. It's what he deserved after all.

So come on in, have a beer or two, and sit a spell. Maybe you'll feel like sharing a story about George or maybe you're just there to pay your respects. There's a break in the weather, the clouds only filling up half of the nighttime sky. No acid snow for tonight.

"That's a good idea. It's certainly easier to call all of the area hospitals than to figure out which Entity is at it again."

They should go somewhere and get out of the cold. She has a very good idea as to how they can both warm up. "We could go back to your place or mine. Or we could get a hotel room."

[easilyamused]

"A hotel room sounds like a marvelous idea," he says. "We can pretend we're just on a trip to the coast. No monsters, no responisibilities for a night."

No dealing with his teenaged flatmate, or her terrifying ones.

"Just us. Alone. We can even turn off our phones and pretend that the outside world doesn't exist." It could be wonderful.

[easilyamused]

"Hmm. Best make our escape quickly. Before anyone thinks to come looking."

For her. His ties are, for the most part, loosely held, and by design.

Kate giggles, she actually giggles a little bit. She reaches up for his hand to begin to lead him back to the van. "Shh. Don't jinx it."

[easilyamused]

It's a good sound, given the weight of the evening that's proceeded it. He lets her tug him along without resistance. "Do you want to drive, or shall I?"

"I'll drive." She knows where they are going after all. They reach the van and with a click on the keyfob, she unlocks it. "Why? You're not scared are you?"
