Who: John Sheppard
Username: Pegasus
Warnings: gun violence; blood; talk of severe injury/death; supernaturally induced violence/aggression; mention of violence to animals; spiders/spider-bites; swarms of bugs/spiders; cosmic horror; induced madness; fugue state; body horror; PTSD; disassociation; paranoia;
[John does not look well. Haunted is probably the best description of his entire...everything, or maybe it's because he's still recovering from his injuries.]
Update on the blood river situation--there's a bridge made out of spider-webs that apparently can hold your weight. The spiders get upset when you stop for any reason, so you need to make it across fast.
Me and Rodney didn't exactly make it to the mystery building across the way, though. We had to stop for the night and--
--don't do that. Whatever you do, do not stay there overnight. It--
[He seems to be struggling to describe it. Something goes vacant in his eyes and threatens to take him back to that moment and he really can't be doing that on video, so he takes a deep breath and tries to calm down.]
Whatever is--there, whatever Dogtown is, it's-- [He can't describe it. How can he describe it?] --we shouldn't be there. They were angry at us. But there's something in that building across the river, I just know it. Maybe it's the answer to all of this.
[You know that thing about the Hunt where it's a fear that can manifest as obsession with pursuing a goal, chasing after something that can never be reached, and destroying yourself and everything you know and love in the process? That's it, that's what's happening.]

[ Kate knows of at least three idiots who would willingly go. Two of them are her roommates. ]
How do you know for sure? The Entities could just be fucking with you. That's what they do.

[Maybe with superpowers at this point.]
It isn't really a question of weaponry. That, I have. Everything there was not...shootable. Believe me, I tried. The bullets and the birds simply weren't there...
Because they--they could do that any time they wanted! Right now even! If they were really that dead set on driving us mad they could do it anytime I walk down the street. Something's different about that part of Dogtown.

[ You only get superpowers by feeding the Entities, John. ]
Do you understand why that's dangerous?
I agree with you. Something is dangerous about All of Dogtown. That's why there is a fence to keep people out.

[He likes superpowers tho]
Of course I do! And that's why we need to find out more. And then figure out how to stop it.

[ What does she think? She thinks that he's really does need to be checked out my medical (again) and given a thorough psychiatric exam. That's what she thinks. And she's being polite when she says that he just sounds obsessed. Kate believes that he is obsessed-obsessed. ]
So how does it go, your ideal plan to investigate the place?

[If he says it enough times maybe it’ll be true—]
My idea plan is to get in and out alive. I’ve been through worse places.
[Honestly, with the terrible places he’s been through? This actually might be the worst, along with a Wrath Hive-ship.]

[ And get one of her friends, who probably would go to Dogtown with him, hurt. Then she'd have to kick John's ass. It wouldn't be pretty. Please, John, go see one of ADI's councilors, please. ]
Like what?
[ Dogtown messes with all of an individuals senses and mind. Dogtown can hurt people in all kinds of ways, not just physical. So she really is curious about something that's worse than Dogtown. ]

Hence, the leaving early and not hanging around at nighttime.
[Will he, it remains to be seen...]
Like giant organic alien ships full of life-sucking aliens that farm humans.

That sounds unobjectively terrible. I'm not mocking you or taking that lightly but it sounds like that place could only kill you. Dogtown could do much worse to you.
