Right then.
After everything that happened in October, and the utter lunacy last Thursday, what are the odds that we'll see more holiday-themed horror in December?
If we're going to be dealing with a demonically imbued Krampus, I'd like to know in advance.
[Mostly so he can make plans to be elsewhere, but also because the theming of Gloucester's supernatural nightmares is a little bit fascinating.]

I think it's far too late for that.

It is! Thanks!

How can I make it up to you?

You're a clever boy. I'm sure you'll figure something out.

Now I know I'm in trouble.
no subject
You're not in trouble. Unless you want to be but then that would require a completely different conversation.

Apropos of nothing in particular, how do you feel about ice skating?

And there were these lights that made you speak the truth?
I could do without demon krampus.
So thanks for putting that out into the world, mate.
no subject
Technically, it's been out in the world for centuries.

Think there were evil little elves, too?
You brought it up, so I'm blaming you if it happens.

The entire Santa Claus operation always has seemed a little sinister.

I mean, c'mon.
'He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake.'
Bloody stalker is what he is.

'Be good or you'll get coal.'
Well, I never much liked Christmas, anyway.
Got kidnapped by some robot Santas one year.
That was exciting.
And horrible.
Mostly horrible.

They kidnapped me on my wedding day, too.
Saved me the legal trouble with the bloke turning out to be a jerk.
But still.
Rude!

Dear Pierson,
I'm afraid that I've only recently arrived so there is still so much for me to catch up on from previous months. May I ask what happened in October?

Call me Adam.
We had a woman who pulled people into nightmares, and was apparently a repeat visitor from last year, and a baker driven to self-destructive obsession by haunted tombstones.

As for the rest, well, to put it most plainly, fuck.
And these kinds of events happen frequently, do they not? How are we to prepare for them?
no subject
I don't think more than a week or two has gone by without some kind of trouble since I got here. As for preparing, there are a few people who make somewhat regular reports, and Donna's been working on something of a timeline of horrors. Those would be good places to start, if you're looking for a better idea of what to prepare for.
no subject
Thank you. I'll have to acquaint myself with Donna and educate myself more on what to expect. I only hope that whatever the coming months brings for you, that it is far kinder than the previous.

[He doubts it, but it's a nice thought.]

Or do they tailor themselves more to American holidays?

You might have heard it called St. Brigid's Day.

Knowing whether they attach themselves to various folktales and festivals like parasites, or the overlap is just a manifestation of the cultural background of the avatars and cultists might help with predicting what form the next disaster could take.
