New around town here and I got a quick question here about some talk I've been hearing through the drainpipe, y'see? Don't worry too much about the how, where, or when.

Point is it's real hush-hush but there's some drama involving a rather big, red and feathery bird woman I've gathered. Can't help but be curious about all that jazz. Someone got a more informative scoop on that sitch or should I keep pokin' about myself?

You think I'd be asking around like this if I knew? Though heck if you're thinking it's an Eda then I might be off base in what I was assuming. This Eda ain't happen to also go by Betty would she? Betty Ross? Ringing any bells?

Didn't think that was too common a thing but seems I've been proven wrong.

No- you even listenin' pal? When I said I knew another big harpy woman I meant I know another big harpy woman, wasn't sarcasm or somethin', you get it yet?

I ain't know no Eda so unless she's gone and used another name, chances are this is more common than I was thinkin' it was.

[The feed clicks on before she says anything, and she holds the phone far enough back to make it obvious she is, in fact, a big partly-red harpy woman.]

Yo. What's your damage? I go by a lot of things but I sure as hell ain't a 'Betty.' [There's a little pause, before she adds,] ...but if you do know another harpy I wouldn't mind her number.

[Finally someone was getting a feed in response. His camera clicks on and he's trying to angle the screen to not be fully in his face while also getting a good look at her. He looks almost.. disappointed? Not scared, more like he was expecting something else for certain.]

Well that answers that eh? Look- honest mistake but y'know it ain't like I see a lotta bird women these days.. or any days, til recently. Thought I had a pretty good shot of seein' a familiar face, don't mean to stir up any trouble with yous over this.

[He narrows his eyes a moment before a sly sort of grin crosses his face.]

Now I'm not fixing to go and give out her number without her know how but wouldn't mind gettin' yours. Y'know- just in case she gives the goahead if she comes 'round.

[Eda has to admit, she actually is curious. Though she supposes there are certainly worlds where it wouldn't be strange to run into another bird woman.

Either way, that last part does get a laugh that quickly turns into a snort.]

Uh-huh. Real smooth, pal. [The sarcasm is fairly obvious, though it's more patronizing than annoyed.]

You know what? Sure. [He's lucky in that she's really bored.]
