Summary: A murder is planned, executed, and staged. The details are yet to come.

[Several months ago, following the Circus' initial visit, Aelwyn was given permission to take down Fenix Down and his circus. Now, after more recent revelations about their unseen enemy, the plan has become a higher priority.

The plan is as follows. To ensure that this doesn't implicate ADI, a false cult will be created for this specific purpose. They'll keep the entity behind it vague, but one must be selected to ensure anyone paying enough attention would be able to identify it. They'll create conspiracy theories, fabricate old reports from decades ago to make it seem like this group is only recently being resurrected.

And then, with that done, they'll execute the plan itself. Staging the kidnapping and murder as if it was the act of that cult, and an extensive interrogation.

We're sort of going for something that would do something physically, though.

So... Slaughter, maybe?
Maybe that saves us having to come up with a really specific reason they'd go after the circus.
Random violence and all that.
Do you ever get a combination for them?

Yes, they can be combined. Some more than others. I mean... the distinctions between them are... human things? Arbitrary. Useful for categorisation for human understanding but not... not real.

Nightmare logic. If it feels right, it probably is.

More than one Entity can be involved.
That's helpful.
Thinking we should definitely keep the Slaughter, at least.
Gives us a plausible reason these people would just randomly strike the circus.
Makes it simpler.
Big, attractive target.
And that's all you really need.
We can weave in one of the others for some extra themes.

Or because they encroached on a piece of 'claimed' territory. That's a possibility.

And I'd go with Hunt if I had to make a suggestion. They don't need any reason except... the hunt.

Been thinking we ought to put together a better guide than the basic primer they give you in that little room when you're brought in.
We could all do with a bit more detail.

And I'm not sure how much a guide helps anyway. It's all very contextual.

I was a researcher at home. You get very good at sifting through infomation quickly.

And there is the entire internet. Not just paper documents and books.
