You know, it's so weird that ADI didn't house her with you; you'd think they would have, right? I mean, she's just a kid. Anyway, hi.

[Oh gosh that's a lot, and Bruno suddenly finds himself shaking this woman's hand. He nods, though, agreeing as his brain catches up.]

Mirabel's--she's really smart, and strong. But you're right, she's just a kid. I should have...I should have asked for her to be with me, I should have kept a closer eye on her--

There's no point on dwelling on all that stuff now. Do you think we should investigate her disappearance? I mean, beyond just checking out the apartment. I'll help, if you want.

[Misty says with a shake of her head, turning back to look at the door to Mirabel's old room.]

The last time I saw her was here, a couple of days ago, but nothing suspicious jumped out at me. She seemed normal.

[Bruno gives himself a little shake.]

Maybe there'll be something in her room if there was something wrong.

[Not like she really needs to; it's not as if there's a lock on the door. But it gives her a good excuse to hover nearby as he goes in.]

[Bruno, perhaps frustratingly for her, has to take a moment with his hand on the doorknob to steel himself with a deep breath. Then there's a flurry of motion as he knocks the wooden door with his knuckles, ending with a rap to his own head.]

Knock knock knock knock knock, knock on wood--

[He holds his breath as he opens the door and steps through into...a standard issue ADI bedroom. It's neat and tidy and full of the same stuff as his own bedroom, but even here he can see traces of Mirabel's presence in little knickknacks and a sewing kit still laying out on the desk. Silently, he moves into the room and starts opening drawers.]

[Misty wonders bluntly - and then waits for an answer, because sorry Bruno, it definitely wasn't a rhetorical question. He goes in and she follows, and though she doesn't search the room herself - she's already done that! - she's happy to watch him go through it.]

[He gives her a confused look, not understanding at first what she's even referencing with the unfamiliar term. Context clues help, though, and he gives a little shake of his head, embarrassed less about the behavior than about it being called out.]
