To the Gentlefolk of Other Worlds,
This is Sister Mercy Graves. Do you believe in fate? That your truth may be written and set before it has happened? I have come across a most peculiar and troubling object at the museum that has recently opened its doors.
May the spring bring life to you and yours,
Mercy Graves

[Whether or not she needs him to pick up clothes, here Mercy is in the ADI foyer in her more modern clothes, save for her boots. They're far better than anything this place has to offer, from what she's seen.]

[He wouldn't have survived even the commute to and from the apartments in the clothes he'd been wearing when he arrived. Bruno shows up in the foyer dressed for the weather and then some; he appears to have bought Walmart's biggest, puffiest coat and thickest winter hat and mittens. None of it's quality, but he sure didn't skimp on the layers.]
Oh, hey, you're --
[Oh. He completely forgot her name since the last time he looked at her post on the network.]
--uh--
[Change course!!]
--I'm Bruno, from the...text...thing.

[She bows her head respectfully to the man. He seems to be well-equipped for the weather, which is a relief after meeting with Tony earlier.]
Should get to getting, aye?
[With a small gesture, she leads the way out and into the brisk afternoon.]
You only just get here, sir?

[Should he shake her hand oh nope, they're doing a nod, he'll just nod back to her. And they're just getting right to it, which is great!
It's nice to be given directions.]Aye--uh, I mean, yes. It's really...different here.

[She casts a rueful smile.]
All these things is... hundreds of years away for me, from what folk say. The ones I told about where I'm from. They said something about my times being Mid-evil. Can't rightly say I ever thought of them as evil. Good times and bad, maybe, but there ain't much intent behind it.

[Bruno takes a second to ponder that one; it's not a word that comes up often in his life and its English pronunciation escapes him for a moment.]
Wait, Medieval?
[It sounds completely different when he says it, the vowels not mashed together the way English speakers make them, the emphasis on a different syllable.]
You're from hundreds of years ago?

Huh.
That's weird. I guess it's not a lot weirder than time travel to another world that's almost like the one I came from. And hey, you've got magic, too! I had someone try to tell me magic isn't even real, can you believe that?

I'm starting to think they're from worlds where they ain't been let in on it, yet. Maybe you gotta pass some sort of test. There's all sorts of good magic here that I seen. They call it Science, but I know what I know. Just 'cause you can explain something don't make it not magic. It's the wonder... and maybe there's something special in it only you can do sometimes, too.
[Bruno gets a wink for that.]
