[Free housing is such a blessing for Zoe. No way in hell would she have figured out her own living situation in one night. Having roommates isn't exactly ideal, but she certainly isn't going to turn down the offer—if she doesn't get along with her roommates, she can find a different place to live, right?

...The thought of not getting along with her roommates is heavy on her mind when she reaches the entrance. And of course it is. She has a hard enough time making friends on a regular day, and if this is an abnormal day for her, she knows it's likely the same for her roommates. Please just let this first night be peaceful, she pleads silently, to no one in particular.

She almost doesn't want to open the door, but what else is she going to do? Going home isn't an option now. Or, rather, this is home, now. With a sigh, she enters, and makes her presence known.]

Anybody in here? Or do I got this place to myself for now?

Hello! [ Gojou looks happy at the prospect of someone else he can feed. He walks over to Sayori as he looks her over, deciding on his opinion of her pretty quickly, and out loud. ]

You're adorable!

[ He points at her and turns to Zoe. ]

Do you see how adorable she is?

[Adorable? Sayori's eyes go wide and her cheeks go faintly pink as she laughs, flustered.] Whaaat? Adorable? That's way too nice, ahaha!

[Though she's glad to make a good first impression. People tend to be more patient with you when you're dumb if you're also cute.

She answers Zoe with a carefree little wave of her hand, as if trying to wave off Gojou's question so that Zoe doesn't feel pressured to answer it.] It looks like it! Guess I'm late to the party, huh?

[Yes, she is adorable. This fact will not be disputed. But is Zoe the only one here who thinks Gojou's comment was a little creepy? ...Maybe she's just reading too hard into it. Anyway. She greets their new roommate with a kind smile.]

Not too late. I've only been here a couple a' seconds. I'm Zoe, and this here's Gojou. Surely you got a name we can call you?

[ That's too bad, generally Gojou tried his best not to be creepy. That is, when he was keeping track of his own actions, which is not something that generally happened. He would pout if he knew Zoe's opinion, but instead he's just looking to Sayori, waiting for her answer. ]

[It may be a little creepy, objectively speaking. But Sayori naturally gives people the benefit of the doubt, so she doesn't mind.

With a bright grin, she clasps her hands behind her back and rocks forward excitedly on her toes.] My name's Sayori! It's nice to meet you guys! Uh—

[She gives each of them a discerning look for a moment. At a quick glance, she didn't pay much attention, but they both look older than her. Not old old, but worth asking:] Should I say "Miss" and "Mister"? I don't want to be rude.

[...That actually makes Zoe laugh. Just a light laugh, but all the same, smiles are rare with Zoe.]

No, 'course not, I'm just Zoe. I ain't even thirty yet. You're gonna make me feel old if you call me that. [With a glance to Gojou, she adds,] 'Course, I don't speak for all of us.

You're not one of my students, so I wouldn't ask you to be that formal.

[ Gojou offers her an encouraging grin. Really, this is one of the ways that he misses his original language - if he could use his preferred pronoun, she would know that he didn't want to be referred to in such a way. English just didn't have as many variables to fill in context. ]

But there's nothing wrong with being rude, you know. Sometimes it's the only way you'll get somewhere.
