Who: Edalyn Clawthorne + various CR
When: The last few months!
Where: Around Gloucester
Summary: A little catch-all for things I want to squeeze in with Eda's CR, set before the final event!
Warnings: Will update if they happen
Wildcard
Eda's been relatively scarce, these past few months. She's no longer feeding all her energy to a Lonely-aligned artifact, but it left her tired, not to mention effecting some of her relationships. The amount of people who have disappeared has left her tired, too. But at least some of them seem to have come back.
She's making an effort to reach out more, to be present and to at least help every time there's a major emergency—which to be fair is often.
Maybe she'll even have a few nice moments... before it's out of the frying pan she'sconcerningly used to and into the biggest fire yet.
OOC: If you have any ideas for scenes during recent events, or just running into her around town and catching up in general, feel free to throw them my way! I'll also be adding custom starters in the comments, so hit me up if you want one. Strixoid on discord or

He's heading inside Bonnie's as if he's been here the whole time. After all, right before he vanished he hadn't been subtle with his displeasure over results and talking about striking out on his own. To Manji there's no reason to feel sappy. He glances towards Eda when he spots her and gives a slight nod of his head.
"Hey."

It's just when she's about to leave, and there's a moment where she kind of stares in disbelief. After all, most of the people who have disappeared haven't come back.
And then, once it sinks in, she looks happier to see him than she probably wants to admit.
...And then she looks irritated as his casual attitude makes her wonder if he really did just strike out on his own, and her ears lay back and she folds her arms.
"Hey. Where've you been?"

Well, maybe that's better than being another person who vanished, in some ways at least. On the other hand, she's pretty sure it gives her more excuses to be upset.
"Would've been nice if you'd checked in that you were alive... or in this dimension."
She could understand the desire to leave in a lot of ways, but with how many people she's lost here, she's prone to worrying.

This gets a huff, an eyeroll, and crossed arms, so at least she's a little bit herself.
"Maybe just a little. It's easier to forget how grumpy you are when you aren't here," she grumbles... but there's probably no hiding how much she really has been worried.

Well, as alright as possible, considering the circumstances.]
I hope you are doing well, Eda. I'm thinking of you.

But she's trying to be present again, now that she's no longer feeding the medallion, now that the Lonely only has its hooks in her in a normal kind of way.
It's a bit before she sends a reply, but not too long.]
About as good as I've got any right to be. But I've been thinking about you, too
[There's a little pause between messages.]
free today?

[And that certainly makes her feel some emotions.]
Anything you'd like to do?
[They should probably... actually talk about everything, but this is somewhere to start.]

And I miss talking about having everyone get to know each other.
[The idea of trying to spend time with Raine and Hob and Hunter and Katrina... not that things had been good between Raine and Rue as of late.]

[But talking about it probably won't make it happen now, a little too much bad blood and hurt. But maybe...]
So drinks then?
[a joke. sorta]
Closed to Katrina!
But that's not the important part. The important part is that some people, Katrina included, are back, and Eda doesn't want to miss the chance to spend time with them. Even if Katrina isn't much for the small-talk side of things.
Not that today's topics are going to be the happiest; and perhaps that's why she's noticing how empty the house is. But still—seeing her will be nice.]

Would she prefer the taciturn, brutal ways she grew up with? Yes. But she no longer resents this place and its customs. Eda is her sister in this land-based tribe they find themselves in. She enjoys her company.
Bonnie's flophouse has an air of sadness to it, for Katrina, because here is where she comes to honor the tribe's dead and disappeared members. Today, though, she does not stop by the memorial room first. She goes straight to where Eda is and gives her a slow nod in greeting. ]
Sister. I am here.

[Eda's ears perk up before she looks up, and then she pushes herself to her feet.]
Kitty.
[If it was anyone else, they'd get a hug, because she's well past pretending that witches don't do those. But she knows sirens actually don't, so Katrina will just get a little forehead lean if she allows it.]
How've you been settling back in?
