Eda found herself gritting her teeth out of tired frustration as much as anything else. As the shock wore off, it was giving way to anger. Raine had never believed any of this, at least not the parts about being loyal to the emperor and Terra. Whoever was behind this wasn't about to convince her they were.

As for the rest... it really did sting, especially not needing her at all, but that didn't make it true. It only proved someone was using them—or their image—to upset her.

And she didn't feel like letting it go on any longer.

When Raine turned their back on her, she tensed, ears folding back and tail twitching in agitation.
