"Well, that color was awfully memorable," Rogers points out. "Emphasis on awfully."

Though there's something in him that can't help but be satisfied that he's in there a little, too, amid the sea of pea green cabinets.

"But another green could work. Maybe brighter. It might make the place a little cheerier." God knows the house - this town - could do to be cheerier, even if it won't exactly solve the apocalyptic problem they're facing. Maybe that's just human nature, though, to try to stay positive in the face of the apocalypse.

"I've never owned a place before. I keep forgetting we can personalize it." Past just the fixing it up, anyway.
