As instructed, Flapjack tucks himself on a side street and watches the building where he'd last seen the small witches. Fortunately, he doesn't have long to wait. He sees Eda approach the patch and refrains from getting too excited when she says Hunter's name. He doesn't want to scare them off again.

Instead, he very carefully scoots out of hiding and settles in the street, he hopes, a safe distance away. Hunter told him not to get too close.
