"Crude? Hmm." John's tone is amused, at the thought that something like a magic circle would be crude. But he doesn't tease too much more at his benefactors. He really does want the crab arm gone.

"Well, either way, I'll be glad to see this thing go," John says, steeling himself a little, letting his nerves be buried under his usual flippant attitude. Screaming on the inside is much better than the reverse.

"Trivial. Well, I hope I never get on either of you two's bad side."

...he means that in all seriousness. That's kind of terrifying.

"Okay...good. That's...pretty much all the questions I had, cause you know...the whole arm removal thing was...kind of a worry." He actually has like a thousand more questions but if he actually gets answers to them he'll probably second-guess his decision, so better to just go ahead and do it.
