if he's being honest, it's kinda.... weird? odd? talking to shiro about something that isn't world ending. things never used to be that way before kerberos, but in the days since shiro's return to earth it's been nothing but war, genocidal aliens, missions, monsters, fear leeches and somehow talking about something so completely and througholy inconsequential feels.... a lot like it's just asking for a reprimand.
