The offer of help was nice, undeniably, but they weren't sure how much they could be honest. Mercy was kind, but she wasn't exactly the person Raine would want to tell that they'd been running around with a soul sucking, happiness trampling artefact. Still, maybe there's something she could do.

"Hmm.. I'd have to think about it, honestly, so let me get back to you on that. But Hunter is a great kid, and I have Eda to help with him.." They trailed off, and sighed. Eda was a whole other matter. "She's been stressed too, though. I try to let Hunter have some space to do what he likes. I'm not his real parent, so.."

There was perhaps a small twinge of sadness at the last part of their statement.
