"I'm— I—" They stammered out, and they took their glasses off. They cleaned them nervously with the end of their shirt.

"I don't really think you can. But I.. I don't really need help! I'm fine."

They regard Steve's now blurry form with their best attempt at a reassuring smile, despite how apparently awful they look without their glasses on.
