Raine wrinkled their nose at Manji, whether or not he was right it was still rude and in their tired state it still hurt their feelings a little.

But they kept quiet and listened anyways, and their upset faded to something else. Maybe he was right. Maybe this wasn't the medallion, it was because they weren't casting magic in a self-serving way at all as of late. It left them feeling more tired and arguably more frustrated. They took a deep breath before they answered back:

"I am. And...I haven't. But I don't like scaring people. So I try not to do it. Back when I was in the server room I used up some of it fighting, though."

They'd also used it more recently on their date with Eda, and in a few other instances.. But as they thought more about it they realised they hadn't spent much time hunting either. They didn't scare people. But they didn't ignore Eda's suggestion that animals could be a substitute, despite how it made them feel.

"I would just hesitate to hurt people. That's all."
