Weirdly enough, it was his uncle who convinced him that he didn't need magic, that he was just as capable as anyone else. Belos had given him the artificial staff that helped bridge the gap between his lack of magic and those who could naturally cast spells.

His lips twist. "Eda wasn't born without magic. It's not the same."

But this wasn't about that. It wasn't about magical ability at all.
