Steve can't quite help the smile that tugs at his lips. "It is satisfying," he agrees. "And usually effective."

He doesn't like the fact that that pyramid was so resistant, but at least it seems to be the exception, rather than the rule.

"It's a good strategy - dealing with things from a distance." At least, in this case. It's not a strategy Steve is known for applying, but it's maybe one he could do to implement more often, these days, given the givens.

"Maybe make sure that stockpile stays stocked," he says, softly, spotting the door and picking up the pace just a little, more, if Winter seems able to move a bit quicker.
