She stares down at the tea, enjoying the scent for a long moment while she blinks back tears. One escapes her, but at least she doesn't break down sobbing. She takes one cautious sip. It actually has a taste, so it's much better than the tea she's made herself in the past.
"It's okay," she says after a moment, voice still strained but sounding a little more normal now. "There's not really anything they can do about knuckles. I've broken them before."
