Well, she'd already been thinking of talking to someone about the possibility of introducing more advanced technology in a way that doesn't inspire easily exploitable fear... with the recent split that's gone from a way to potentially boost their cause while making some extra cash to something that might actually be vitally necessary.

She already had her suspicions about ADI and she's even less inclined to trust them now, but... well she'd be a liar if she said corruption isn't ingrained in basically every large scale organization she knows of, and she can't do this on her own. At least Nia seemed to care.
