The mention of snapdragons did get a reaction. Eda glanced at them with a genuine if slightly awkward smile and ran her thumb over the back of their hand. While her memories of that part of their lives were mixed, they were still fond.

Their thoughts on the human realm, on the other hand, got a shrug.

"You'd think. But... I dunno if that's true here." It didn't make any sense for this version of the Human Realm to come up with all that on their own, or have native giraffes, but plenty of things about this place didn't make sense.

She was about to go on, when she was startled both by the sound and Raine's reaction to it. She squeezed their hand, but let out a little snort at the question about giraffes.

"I've never seen anything quite that bad in here," she said. Her tone was also somewhat joking, but she was eyeing the trees intently. "Although... whatever's hiding in the blood river looks big enough to eat one."

Said blood river, on the other hand, looked like something that would be at home on the Isles. So it wasn't all bad in here.
